The garden has attractive terraces surrounded by mature Mediterranean plants. The apartment is approached via the right gate of the property via some steps. Outside facilities include BBQ, table tennis, wooden table and chair. Steps, taking you down to the gardens & stream. There is a constant & super relaxing sound of the waterfall. The stream runs year-round and is fed by a spring in the nearby Alberes mountains which are a fantastic area for hiking, cycling and exploring. Just outside the gate are further terraces and rock pools, formed by the burbling stream. It’s a wonderful area to relax and unwind with a book and a glass of wine. Children spend hours fishing, swimming and playing in the stream. The edge of the pool shelves gently so it is a good place for children to practice swimming under supervision. The waterfall cascading into the pool is a constant pleasure to watch and ensures the water stays clean. Older children and adults love to jump in from the rocks above. This is a wonderful place in summer to escape the crowds & is a welcome few degrees cooler with good air. In spring & autumn everything is green & flowering so it is also a wonderful time to come. INSIDE: The entrance to the apartment leads strait into the double bedroom with comfortable pull down bed, sofa & wardrobe. Floor to ceiling windows overlook the stream & gardens. The bedroom leads into built in kitchen, sitting room/ dining room. Provided are table & chairs for 4 people & comfortable sofa. Floor to ceiling windows allow for a fantastic view over stream & gardens while you dine. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need to cook your meals. At the far end of the apartment is a door leading to bathroom with walk in shower, bath, sink & WC all beautifully tiled. Opposite this & the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds & wardrobe. LOCAL AREA: The property is situated in a quiet valley just a few minutes by car from the authentic village square of Sorede with its restaurants, shops, cafés, and live entertainment in the summer. Local facilities are open year-round including two traditional French bakeries, tennis courts and public boules piste. Sorede has a twice-weekly market with stalls offering local cheese, fruit and vegetables, wine, salami, olives and many other items. There is a small, friendly wine cellar open in the mornings which sells wine produced in Sorede and nearby villages. You can take in your own bottle and have it filled with red or rose directly from the cask. We offer inexpensive bike hire of both manual and electric bikes as this is an excellent way to explore the many local sites. Die Zufahrtsstraßen zum Ort sind arg in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt und diese himmlische Ruhe sehr. Die Wohnung ist angenehm groß, mit sehr viel Geschmack eingerichtet und verfügte zu meiner großen Freude über scharfe Messer. Nous avons été bien accueillis par James qui s'est montré disponible et à l'écoute. L'endroit est superbe avec un très bel accès à la rivière (la contrepartie est la forte présence de moustiques). La location est très bien placée pour profiter de la montagne et de la mer. La maison est agréable mais nécessiterait d'être rénovée. L'appartement est assez spacieux et correctement équipé. La literie est bonne. Hemos encontrado un paraiso dónde hemos pasado unos dias maravillosos en familia. Mis hijos han estado muy muy felices. La única pega que podemos decir es que la mesa de la terraza en vez de ser 2 pequeñas juntas sería mucho más comodo una grande. ##### Silvia G. Stayed 8 nights in Aug 2020 ### 6/10 Okay #### Martial T. 20 Aug 2020 Disliked: Location #### Déçus La propreté de la location intérieure comme extérieure laissait à désirer, il y avait des toiles d'araignées dans la maison, la poussière dans les placards n'était pas faite, une poubelle non vidée des anciens locataires, beaucoup d'insectes aussi à l'intérieur, la maison mal isolée, le linge ne pouvait pas sécher dedans. Il n'y avait pas de chaises longues ni la table avec les bancs sur la terrasse naturelle le long de l'eau comme montrée sur les photos. De plus, je demande une facture acquittée depuis plusieurs mois aux propriétaires sans avoir de réponse de leur part et en n'ayant toujours rien reçu. Je suis déçue par mon séjour. ##### Martial T. Must be fantastic to swim in in the Summer. Situated in a beautiful valley where nature takes prime place. Will gladly return on another occasion.
