This first floor vintage apartment features large rooms with many old historic touches still intact. Enjoy the original wood shutters for light blocking and the craftsmanship as they fold into the walls. The apartment highlights the bustling clipper ship era of Captain James Madison Hood's Shipyard which is now The Village Waterfront Park. Some of the fastest clipper ships in the world were built and docked here. Little pieces of that history are all around during your stay. MBTA's commuter rail is now available. The South Coast Rail is located 7 miles from the house with service connection directly to Boston's South Station. New for the summer of 2024 is our oversized stone patio with a covered 16' by 24' pavilion. Enjoy the covered outdoor space and the large outdoor stone fireplace. My family and I were in town for a funeral and this was the perfect place for us location wise. It was also a calm and relaxing retreat during an otherwise busy and stressful time.
