Clean rooms and friendly staff. However I was there towards the end of the ski season and there was noticeably less staff around to help with bags and ski equipment when checking in, but I guess this is expected when visiting outside of peak season

This may be the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. Great location on top of a hill near downtown Boothbay. The main house's veranda and breakfast area is everything you'd want from a seaside hotel. Food was delicious and I appreciated the Nespresso machine in the room, as well as access to other drinks in the main house. Expedia put us in the wrong room and the staff was helpful in getting us a refund for the difference in price. Note, if you're on the lower floor, you will hear the footsteps of the people above you.

We were situated in "Sunset C" cabin. It needs an overhaul!! My husband was very upset .....bathroom was tiny!! No mat in the slippery tub; my husband slipped and fell out onto the floor. ( after requesting a mat, a female assistant brought one). The entrance door frame around entrance door was NOT fitted to the door.... gap of 1/4" at least with light shining thru the space. More than 2 switches/outlets did NOT WORK in Sunset C. I believe the newer buildings are probably very nice!! But Sunset C is old and NOT ACCEPTABLE, as it is currently.

the setting was beautiful and we enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. Our room was clean but the bathroom needed some work. The tub was old and looked dirty. The towels needed t be bleached as they were dingy looking. The water pressure & temperature of the shower were not acceptable. The water turned cold after one shower and it was obvious other rooms were drawing from the same tank as the water pressure would wane throughout. The window screen in the bathroom and the window were filthy with pollen, dust and bugs so it did not make it pleasant. In addition, the adjacent rooms were quite noisy and nearby guests were not thoughtful about sleeping hours.
