"Fantastic stay, yet again! We love getting all the benefits of camping without the hassle of setting everything up and taking it down. Everything is ready when you arrive, well stocked, and even during pouring rain, everything inside the tent stayed completely dry. 😊 We’ve stayed twice now, both times in September, and the weather was completely different each visit — one was hot and dry, while the other was rainy and cold. So one piece of advice: pack for both! We’d happily stay again."

Namib's Valley Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Incredible views from this very special property in the middle of nowhere. I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabins have been tastefully designed with natural local materials to give a rustic feel, but with all the comfort of hot showers, crisp white sheets and a comfy mattress. This was the best night’s sleep I had in my whole trip. The manager and his daughter give a very warm welcome and the evening spent sipping a cold beer from the main farmhouse balcony overlooking the hills and valleys below was simply magical. Even saw mountain zebras in the distance. Good breakfast too."

Stofpad Namibia

10/10 Excellent

"We lad a lovely time at Stofpad lodge. The location is beautiful and a most convenient stop for a leisurely drive from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. We found the self catering villa to our liking. The food was ok - the lightly tempura battered fish came out solidly crumbed but I thought it was delicious - feedback purely for managing customer expectations rather than any need for improvement, though the pasta dish could have been more al dente. We also did the 3.5 km walking trail we really enjoyed. All in all an excellent stay. We would come back again if we have a chance! Feedback for hotels.com- the feedback function doesn't work well on android. It is too easy to get kicked off the feedback function as it was too easy to press the back button. It took me five attempts to complete the feed back and if I didn't have such a good stay, I wouldn't have bothered."

Namib Desert Camping2Go

8/10 Good

"I stayed in one of the camping2go tent things. They're really actually pretty cool and spacious. If you're looking to properly camp, the kitchenette thing has blooming everything you need. I did notice quite quickly that the mosquitos love to hang around this kitchenette area, so come prepared. Dinner and breakfast are decent, though it turned out the money paid for these was the most I'd paid for any meal in the whole 10 days I was travelling in Namibia."

The Desert Grace

8/10 Good

"Positive: It’s a great place, great staff and it’s great place to stay before visiting Susvelei.they offer many tours and can help you with an itinerary and transportation as a package. Negative: the wifi didn’t work. Not sure if this is an on going issue or just when we were there. The pool water is extremely cold in the winter. I wish they had a way to warm the water or turn it into a Jacuzzi. I wish dinner included more traditional Namibian food options to try instead of mainly western food."

Namib Naukluft Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed one night and it was amazing! The property had lots to do (perfect for a quiet day after visiting Sessriem) including a hike up the large boulder mountain and a hike around it through the grasslands. There is a well kept pool area to enjoy as well. The staff was exceptional and made us feel very welcome. The highlight was the dinner outside. Dinner is served in a sandy outdoor dining patio with a central open air bbq where food is simmering in cast iron pots. The sun goes down and you eat under the stars. Food was excellent. More authentic African than some other places that tend to be more European centric. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone enjoying the area."
