Our Shearer's room is located in the main building and just metres walk from our restaurant and garden terrace.
The property has an on-site restaurant offering mouth-watering meals, an organic wine list, domestic and international beers and soft drinks to enjoy on the deck overlooking the mountains.
Tanwarra Lodge is situated just a few minutes drive from the local village of Sofala. Sofala came about as a direct result of the gold rush during the mid 1800's. The small quirky village is a must visit stop during your stay to check out the local store, cafe and pub, the old gaol with several walks and tours are available.

If you want to rent the guest house and the loft to different people who don’t know each other, you need to put a door on the guest house, so the guest house has privacy, as the people that rented the loft had to keep apologetic every single time they walked through, it’s not very fair on the people who rent the guest house, it also gives people the option to leave the door open or closed, both parties felt very awkward.
