Much has been written about worn condition of 1970’s vintage modernist building and we certainly found that evident on exterior. Lack of maintenance may be related to shared use of structure by hotel and multiple condominium units. The hotel interior including lobby, dining areas and guest rooms all updated and very nice…and service by staff was excellent.

The property is centrally located with clean and modern rooms.
There was a good selection and variety of foods for breakfast.
The hotel offers beach towels, beach umbrellas,chairs, etc. for guests' use which is a very nice touch.
We found all staff, especially reception to be friendly and helpful.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Mercure Biarritz and would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very nice. The main hallway rugs could usecsome cleaning but the room itself was nice. Restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast. Staff are very accommodating.
