"Very accommodating hotel. The staff was amazing"

"Unique property and a comfortable stay. We enjoyed an optional history tour of this former school building before settling in to our huge room. The bedding was amazingly soft, as were the towels, with excellent housekeeping each day. Breakfast was customized for our needs and was wonderful, fresh and homemade. The communal kitchen was nice for making my french press coffee early in the morning. There is a library as well as a lot of reading material in the Theodore Roosevelt room we stayed in. The surrounding town is lovely. There is a nice park and playground by the St. Lawrence river where you can look over at Canada. We found places for dinner both nights. Everything is just a few blocks from the hotel and we felt totally safe there. We would definitely return if we come back to the area."

"I arrived later than expected and was greeted by locked doors. The manager was actually not on site but instead at there sister property a mile up the road. She immediately came over and handed me my keys. Super courteous and very friendly. A surprisingly pleasant experience "

"The property has a lot offer in summer. We went during winter. Rooms are falling apart, dirty and more. Staff wasn't friendly. There no breakfast included as advertised. During summer yes. An updated web site would have been nice. I would have stayed at another one. Price for my stay was rediculous seeing as it was regular rate for summer. Never again. We found nicer places for less after so next time will stay somewhere else that will have breakfast included no matter the season"

"We really enjoyed our stay — the house was beautiful, spotless, and well maintained. The view was stunning, and we loved all of the activities available nearby. It was a great place to relax and unwind.The host was fantastic. He responded very quickly and kindly accommodated both an early check in, and late check out for us at no additional cost. The only downside was that the loose dog from the neighboring cabin kept coming onto our property throughout the stay and reacting negatively towards us. We were traveling with our two dogs, and it created a few uncomfortable moments where we had to leave the area quickly to avoid any negative interactions. It would be helpful if the neighboring property secured their dog to ensure all guests (and pets) can enjoy the space peacefully.Overall, it’s a wonderful home in a gorgeous location — we just hope this small issue is addressed for future guests."
