"Had a great Easter weekend with our family and grandchildren. The deck and fire pit are great outdoor spaces! And we enjoyed the main living area inside as well. The kitchen is a little tight, no dishwasher. The stairs from the main level to the basement are steep and narrow, more hazardous than expected. Everything worked OK, had hot showers and AC. Plenty of parking space but be prepared for all the trips up and down those outdoor stairs to haul in all your stuff - good workout for sure."

"We loved our stay. Beautiful view and property. Had everything we needed and the owners were helpful and accommodating! We came to the area for Burgess Falls (which was breathtaking… we did the hiking overlook trail and then also kayaked with a guide to the base of the falls) It was a great adventure. The property description lists Burgess as closer than it is… it is a 35-40 minute drive but worth it! "

Comfort Suites Cookeville

"The breakfast was ok, bacon was very thin.. I would suggest a rearrangement of the space for better accessibility. I might also expand the times that breakfast is served, because I had 4 teenagers staying with me and 6 to 9 was hard to do. The attendants were not easy to be seen in a crowd.and they had to carry hot food amongest guests. Overall I was happy with our 2 night stay. I did have two issues with the bathrooms in our rooms. One bathroom had an exhaust fan and the other did not which made it hard to curriculate air in the bathroom. I would also suggest that hair dryers be checked on a regular basis because I tried to use one and while it appeared to be new, it started to smoke and smelled like burnt plastic and with no exhaust fan in the bathroom it lingered in the room for a while. I unplugged it immediately. I reported this issue to front desk before we departed. My only other suggestion would be that there be more seating in your king/two queen ajoining rooms especially for watching TV."

"We had a wonderful stay enjoying nature and watching the World Cup! The beautiful surroundings made using their outdoor projector an absolute highlight. We experienced a brief hiccup due to the weather—a power outage for about four hours in the morning—but Tony was right on top of it with updates. By the time we came back from breakfast, everything was back to normal. The accommodations were clean, and all of the appliances have been wonderfully updated."

"It was a beautiful home within a nice secluded location. We chose this home because of the number of bedrooms with king/queen bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. And of course for its view. However, we were not able to enjoy the rooms downstairs. There was a very strong mildew/musty/moldy smell downstairs. It was so strong, no one wanted to go downstairs or sleep down there. There was a nice pool table downstairs that we weren’t able to use. Our teens ended up staying upstairs with us. We also experienced strange excessive flickering in the master shower. It was very annoying when showering and concerning for my daughter who has epilepsy. We were concerned that it would trigger a seizure. We also noticed that some lights would randomly turn off overnight. I did contact customer service who contacted maintenance. Maintenance came out immediately and had difficulty replicating the flickering issue but guess they found it. It got significantly better but still continued slightly but manageable but not sure why lights shut off on their own. Not much could be done with the smell downstairs. We really wanted to love this house so much more. We just didn’t feel that we got the value that we paid for. We had hoped that the teens could enjoy the downstairs space and the adults enjoyed upstairs but it didn’t go as planned with the smell. I hope the smell gets addressed so that others have the opportunity to enjoy the entire home and what it has to offer."

"The property was very clean and nicely decorated. Our host was very quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had. The view of Center Lake was the best part of our stay. We saw deer, beavers and lots of birds. This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay."

"Very Spacious with plenty of rooms for a family weekend; but Be Aware of the location and parking. Very narrow roads up & down mountain sides to get to property, don’t recommend a night drive in; also suggest having a 4-wheel drive to navigate the location & parking is limited. Property was clean but had not been occupied in a while & there were some roaches visible in the kitchen area. Otherwise, a beautiful place!"
