Canyon Lodge- - 8 Acres - Sleeps 10
For your safety, along with our normal cleaning we disinfect common surface areas. We also have 100MG Internet service. In the winter we a first priority road for the snow plow and have never had a problem with snow. I also clear the driveway when it snows. No 4x4 needed. Listen to the creek, watch the wildlife and be only a mile from town. This home has Australian Cypress hardwood floors, indoor grill, heated by a Tulikivi (A soapstone fireplace from Finland), and cooled by AC in each bedroom. All electricity is 100% solar. No detail was left out on this unique layout with beautiful natural wood to create a lodge setting in a compact space. The living area is up one flight of stairs. So be aware there are stairs to get to the main level. On the main floor there is one master bedroom with a king sized bed. There are two loft bedrooms accessed by a shipman’s ladder each with a queen sized bed and an additional single trundle bed. There is another raised sleeping area behind Japanese Shoji doors that houses two twin mattresses as well as a carpeted play area. Sleeping for 10 can be easily accommodated in this unique layout. Jacuzzi tub and a home office make this a place to come home and relax after a good day skiing, hiking or biking. The kitchen is fully equipped and the home includes a washer and dryer. Bring a DVD and use our 110 inch Projection screen with surround sound. The canyon road goes for 4-5 more miles and then ends in wilderness area. With the Logan to Jackson bike race and the Top of Utah Marathon both in the valley, this home is passed everyday by athletes who are training in a beautiful setting. Outside the house is a deluxe private playground with sand box, playhouse, swings, slides, basketball hoop, and soccer field. There are 8 acres of land to take a walk across the bridges along the creek. We have seen deer (almost every day), raccoons, moose, fox, rabbits, pheasants, owls, and other wildlife that live in harmony with this home. Yet we are one mile from the post office and McDonalds. We have the benefit of quiet seclusion and still close to town. It is like our own private oasis. We wish to share a dream that we created in a beautiful setting. There are 8 acres to explore.
For weekends, we require a two night stay unless the weekend is seven or less days away. Keywords: Lodge,House.

Loved listening to the creek every night. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Very comfortable accommodations. Host very responsive. Will look forward to coming back
Our family loves this secluded cabin! The grounds are gorgeous with the autumn leaves. The cabin is so cozy and fun. We always make the best memories here. Thank you!
The house is very unique and fun. Quite location near town but feels like you are out in the woods. The host was very friendly and easy to work with. We had everything we needed. The only drawback we noticed was that there is only one bathroom (not a surprise, it was in the listing) and a couple of the mattresses were pretty hard.
What a lovely place to stay! It is quiet, quaint, and comfortable. The hammock chair was a huge hit, not to mention the wall of DVD's, books, and games to choose from. We really didn't have to leave to have a good time, although we did get out to explore. There are highland cows nearby!!! Tom was a gracious host. You will not be disappointed!

This property is enchanting. Wildlife (turkeys and deer) were present throughout our Autumn Break stay. The home is equipped with everything needed for a getaway. We were impressed with the owner’s immediate responsiveness to questions we had. We will definitely consider staying here again.
Beautiful location. Clean place. Loft access (ladders) is a little precarious, especially for older folks who might need easy bathroom access. Overall, nice place in beautiful location.
This home was Gorgeous and in a beautiful location. Everything was immaculate and the owners provide everything you need to make this a home away from home. We enjoyed movies on the projector and a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. We even had a family of deer visit us while playing a game of PIG on the basketball court. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We loved it and will be visiting again!
We had a short weekend trip to the property and had a great time. We played basketball, card games and cooked up a great breakfast. We even ordered Doordash one of the nights because we didn't want to cook. The property feels secluded because of it's size and trees, but it is close enough to town to get food. It is also only an hour to Garden City, which made it easy to spend a day at Bear Lake and then drive back and relax. We would definitely stay here again.
It was so cold while we were there, but the stove in the middle of the house kept things toasty warm, with such a cozy ambiance! We loved seeing turkeys, walking the trails, floating bark boats in the creek, playing sports, and just sitting around the huge dining table playing games, coloring, or putting puzzles together. It has become a yearly tradition for our family. We’ll be back!
Our anniversary trip was made even more special because we chose to stay at the lodge. Its location was close to downtown Logan for good eats and Beaver Mountain for snowboarding but felt like we were staying at a country retreat with little traffic noise. We enjoyed watching and listening to the turkeys roam the property in the mornings and mule deer greeted us as we drove through the neighborhood. The Tulikivi stove/fireplace was so amazingly cozy it was hard to tell that snow was falling outside! Tom was available no matter the hour and his directions were better than any app ) We'd definitely return to and highly recommend the lodge for a stay in Smithfield. Mahalo nui loa Tom!
This was a great place to stay and go nowhere for a couple of days! Our family of 7 loves this cabin. The fireplace kept us plenty warm, and we made use of a lot of the jigsaw puzzles, games, toys, books, projector, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed so we never had to eat out, and the outside is a paradise! We love the playground, short hikes through the forest, my sons love playing in the creek, football in the field, making leaf piles, and all the ambiance! And we saw a huge flock of turkeys multiple times. Tom is really easy to work with, and responds quickly.
This place is amazing!!! You’re minutes from civilization but feel like you’re in a secluded cabin. My family loved hiking the trail through the woods, splashing in the stream, and playing on the playground. I can’t say enough how great this place is. We will definitely be back!
Great location on a wonderful property. The beautiful stream and the shady trees make for a relaxing and enlivening environment. We especially enjoyed having a campfire. The interior of the cabin was cozy. The HVAC and the strangely dysfunctional kitchen lighting were the items that detracted from the overall delightful experience.
We've been coming here every autumn for the last 6 years. Our five kids (now ages 6-18) love it! The outside is so fun with a firepit, big field for football or soccer, playground, trails in the forest, and a stream. The inside is so cozy with the warm fireplace, so much space to be together, a huge table for games and puzzles, and plenty of places to sleep. My husband and I love the master bedroom with a king sized bed, and windows facing into the trees. The kitchen has what we need, and the projector is always fun for a movie night. Seeing a big flock of turkeys walk by is always a treat, as well as the very dark sky for stargazing at night. Really great place!
It was great for just hanging out between our activities. Good gathering places. Enjoyed wandering through the woods. Since we grew up sharing a bathroom, it was a trip down memory lane to just have one. :)
