"Beautiful, historic property. Rooms were nice, dining area was very historic feeling, enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast buffet the next morning was varied and high quality. Outdoor dining is available weather permitting, grounds are lovely. Loved all the photos and personal items around the home, it was nice to see previous owners and uses, I love history, so this was a real treat for me. "
"I had a perfect stay with Dr Åsa, cozy house with a comfortable bed and a very nice breakfast and smooth communication with the hostess. Will stay here again when I am around!"
"Very Pictureque and cosy building, environment and excursions by boat and train..
Would have liked quiet breakfast room or, if necessary, classical music at a very low sound-level.
Dinner and breakfast tasted lovely!"

After visiting Gripsholm Castle, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Mariefred. Amble around the area's marina or experience its festivals.
"It's a bed and breakfast. And the rooms are quite rudementary, the sound insulation so and so, and the cleanliness of the communal toilets and showers vary. But the price is good, the location excellent, and the breakfast exemplary. So all in all, we give it five stars. And will stay there again when we visit Mariefred."

"This particular Bishops Arms feels as though it isn't quite convinced that it's a hotel. There is no reception - one engages the attention of one of the staff in the bar. Once checked in however, the room is perfectly adequate, and, as it turned out, acceptably quiet, given that there is a pub downstairs and it was a weekend. Breakfast is fine (can't speak for the cooked food as we didn't sample it). There is carparking, but it isn't free. "
