Yes, it's close to the road, but a landscaped native garden hides the traffic and brings little birds. When my friends and I go away we often find one of us has to sleep in a single bed ... and a bonus that all rooms had a beautiful view to the beach. My dog was very happy to sit and look at the view also :) The house was super clean and well stocked in the kitchen. We were initially worried that the street noise would be a problem but we heard nothing at all. Then again the windows were all closed to keep the warmth in. Log fire was also welcomed.
