Find hotels in Široke from £46

The best area to stay in Široke is along the coastline, particularly near the main beach and the small marina.

This area is the heart of Široke, offering direct access to the Adriatic Sea. The main promenade runs along the waterfront, linking various cafes, a few restaurants, and small shops. You'll find most of the accommodation options here, ranging from private apartments to smaller boutique hotels, many with sea views.

Families often find this area ideal due to its proximity to the main beach. The calm, clear waters are great for swimming, and there's usually space for children to play. Many accommodations are just a short stroll from the shore, making beach days very convenient.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will also appreciate this location. The evenings offer pleasant walks along the promenade, perhaps enjoying a drink with a view of the sunset over the sea.

The best time to visit Široke is generally from late spring to early autumn, specifically May, June, September, and early October, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

For those looking for warm weather for swimming and sunbathing, July and August are ideal. During these months, the Adriatic Sea is at its warmest, making it superb for water sports and enjoying the beaches around Široke and the nearby coast. While these months are the busiest, Široke itself tends to be a bit quieter than the more well-known coastal towns, offering a more relaxed experience even in peak season.

Couples or travellers seeking a more tranquil experience with pleasant temperatures for exploring the region's natural beauty, like Krka National Park, will find May, June, and September particularly appealing. The weather is warm enough for comfortable outdoor activities, but the intense summer heat has not yet arrived or has begun to subside.
