The Staff acted as though they had better things to do than serive the patrons. Regardless of the request weather it was bottle water for the room, clean towels, or just plain toilet tissue it was at least a three to four hour wait if the request was fulfilled at all. For example requested a chicken club sandwich at midnight and did not receive it till almost 4am and thats after I had to personally come down and find a staff member working the kitchen. Which at that point the staff member made the sandwich in front of me in mere minutes, 8 to be exact. So what was the hold up from midnight till 3:30am, if I never came to request and wait for the food in person would i have ever received it? Mind you room service is stated to be open fron midnight to 6am. This service is completely unacceptable for the prices expected for the patrons of the Dreams Resort to pay. Arrived before noon after checking out of another accommodation. We were prepared to have them hold our bags until our room was ready. Kenedra (sorry don’t remember her name exactly) at the front desk was amazing. She offered us an upgrade and let us check in immediately. We hung out at the pool for the afternoon. Pool and hot tub are incredible! Room was clean and comfortable. The only reason for the 4\* for staff was due to the young man at the pool bar. He really needs a lesson in customer service. He was rude saying I couldn’t make an addition to my salad. I asked if he could ask the kitchen. He told me “I don’t need to ask I know”. Then the lady from the kitchen came out and said my request was no problem. It wasn’t busy. He could have asked how our meal was. Brought salt & pepper. Didn’t pick up our dishes forever. He spent the whole day on his phone. Having said that, we really did enjoy our last day in Curacao relaxing here by the pool. Hotel is fantastic! Thank you!" First, the room itself was unacceptable. It had a strong moldy smell that never went away, and the bathroom constantly smelled like sewage. On top of that, one of the curtains was broken, which just added to the feeling that the room was poorly maintained and neglected. The AC doesn’t work properly. One night, a building alarm went off in the middle of the night and created a stressful situation. It took about 15 minutes for security to turn it off. There was no sense of urgency or communication with guests during this time. The overall service was also lacking. The majority of the staff appeared unhappy, rarely smiled, and did not create a welcoming atmosphere. It felt like guests were more of an inconvenience than a priority. Nataly was the ONLY 5 star employee that truly should be used as a model for ALL employees here. The food situation was equally underwhelming. The buffet served nearly identical food every single day, with only one or two items changing. Variety is expected at an all-inclusive resort, and this fell far short. The hibachi restaurant, Hitsimatsu, was particularly concerning. Not only do you have to make reservations, but they consistently run 20–30 minutes late and don’t follow their own fixed menu. More importantly, there were clear cross-contamination issues: the same utensils were used for cooked vegetables..."
