A Unique Grand Hotel
Hotel Waldhaus is a unique place situated in the beautiful Sils Maria. We are very happy we chose it among many offers in the Engadin / St. Moritz region. Waldhaus is an example of the phrase "you get what you pay for". At first, it might seem like a relic from the past. From afar it looks like a castle on top of a hill. It was built more than 100 years ago and still remains in the hands of the same family. And life in it runs as smooth, easy and classy as if it has been practiced for a century! A real Grand hotel, with a big capital G. Every detail is thought of and pleasing the eye and senses - from the huge halls, windows, wood paneling, parquet, comfy period furniture, lights, fine china, silver, live jazz in the bar, the library, the cigar room... The service throughout, the food and wine lists are outstanding. Our room was average size, with small sitting area and balcony. The bathroom was very modern, looked recently fully renovated, with luxury amenities. This place is simply addictive, we are already planning our next visit this coming winter.

Le lieu est fabuleux, au pied de Val Fex et surplombant le charmant Sils Maria et ses lacs. La gentillesse du personnel et des propriétaires, le spa, la forêt, le calme. Des spaghetti ail huile et piment en room service absolument exquis mais aussi très frustrants par la portion trop petite! Un détail en rapport avec le plus qu’agréable séjour passé. Bien plus tranquille que St Moritz et tout aussi proche de toutes les fabuleuses choses à voir dans la région.

Fantastische Lage und entsprechende Aussicht! Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und charmant. Entsprechend wohl fühlt man sich, auch als alleinreisende Person. Zudem wird jeder Gast bei der Ankunft persönlich vom Chef begrüsst, was viel über dieses seit 1908 familiengeführte Hotel aussagt... Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für ein 5-Stern-Hotel. Werde bestimmt zurückkehren!

Ausblick war toll. Zimmer war klein aber man hatte alles was man brauchte als eine alleinstehende. Das Restaurant war zu voll, sogar man musste für einen freien Tisch zum Frühstück warten. Die Kellner(in) waren freundlich.

Die Freundlichkeit aller MitarbeiterInnen und der Besitzerfamilie welche steht’s präsent war. Das jeder Gast gleich zuvorkommend behandelt wird. Das auch beim Abendessen jeder Wunsch erfüllt wurde. Für mich bei Halbpension keine Selbstverständlichkeit.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Hotel an einem hervorragenden Ort, erstklassiger Service (Kleinigkeiten konnten wir gern übersehen), sehr guter Spa- und Wellnessbereich, die Gestaltung wird als besonders herausgehoben - nun ja, Geschmacksache. Frühstück und Abendessen waren ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder.

die ausstattung und das personal waren, wie man für den preis natürlich erwarten darf, gut. ein absolutes no go war die zweite auf das zimmer bestellte portion spaghetti (da die 1. lecker war). mit dem dazugelieferten brötchen hätte man jemanden totschlagen können, so trocken war essen. die spaghetti waren vermutlich nicht frisch. hatte nachher durchfall !!!

Hotellet er tradisjonelt og storslagent, med en utmerket service og med fantastiske omgivelser. Servicen er enestående og de gjorde alt for at jeg skulle ha et fint opphold. Spaet er helt nytt, med flere typer basseng og utendørs boblebad i tillegg til saunaene. Man kan spille tennis og hotellet har egen instruktør. Anbefales!!

Alles hat gepasst! Es war ganz einfach supertoll! Ein wunderbares, altes Hotel in tadellosem Zustand mit sehr freundlichem Empfang, tollem Personal und Service. Die Zimmer sind freundlich eingerichtet mit jeglichem Komfort. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und man fühlt sich einfach wohl und willkommen. Es hat ein tolles Spa. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön zum Wandern und für viele andere Sportarten geeignet.

Un séjour de rêve hors du temps
L'hôtel Waldhaus à Sils-Maria fournit une expérience unique et hors du temps. Les paysages alentours sont à couper le souffle. De nombreuses balades autour du lac, ou dans les vallées environnantes, sont facilement accessibles. Le service de l'hôtel est exceptionnel, une attention extrême est donnée à chaque détail. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est excellent, les produits sont frais et de grande qualité. Le spa, rénové très récemment, est magnifique. L'hôtel fournit un service de navette gratuite jusqu'à la gare de St. Moritz. Le concierge est toujours disponible pour répondre à vos questions. Les produits de soin sont de première qualité. Seul petit bémol, les chambres pourraient être rafraichies, mais le bâtiment est d'une authenticité exceptionnelle. Le salon commun est grandiose, et un trio de musique classique y joue plusieurs fois par jour. Une grande expérience que de séjourner dans cet hôtel!
