The Barn is a unique, romantic and private Cotswolds hideaway set in the grounds of an 1840's home on the edge of the village in a peaceful setting making it the perfect base to explore this outstanding area. You have total use of an upstairs “suite” and downstairs luxury bathroom and kitchenette.

Enjoy the luxury of a multi-purpose open plan space filled with light and framing spectacular triple aspect views across the grounds and countryside.

The main feature of the modern oak barn is it's large 'A' frame floor to ceiling windows at either end of the upper level. These give outstanding views to the surrounding countryside and garden - including a small lake with bountiful wildlife; ducks, moorhens, herons, fish, buzzards, finches, woodpeckers to name but a few! The Barn also benefits from a private outside dining space to complete the immersion in nature.

Upon entering the front door there is a good size stone floored entrance hall with small "L" shaped kitchenette. From there you enter in to the fully fitted bathroom.

The Kitchenette is fully equipped for your stay with a Nespresso coffee machine, 2 ring electric hob, fridge with small freezer box, kettle and slimline dishwasher. There are kitchen essentials provided to prepare breakfast and light meals if desired.

A complimentary welcome pack with basic breakfast essentials including bread, butter, fresh milk and coffee pods are provided.

The large Bathroom includes a walk in rain shower with hand held shower attachment, low-level WC and a large roll top freestanding bath. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel as well as body and hand towels are all provided.

A carpeted flight of stairs leads you up to the light and airy open plan oak floored double aspect living area. There is a modern room divider providing a private and comfortable sleeping area with short hanging space within. The bedroom is fitted with automated blinds that can be operated from the comfort of your bed!

There is free unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the property and a large curved TV upstairs.

The property is entered off the lane through oak gates onto a large driveway for easy parking in front of The Barn.

We had a lovely time staying at this property. The cottage was spacious, clean and cosy, perfect for a quiet getaway. In the morning it was lovely to wake up to a scenic view. There was lots of recommendations on where to dine and things to do locally. The host, Louise, was lovely and helpful. The locals were also lovely as we ended up visiting a pop up pup locally to have a drink and it felt like a friendly, close community. The garden at the property is beautiful and we enjoyed having breakfast out there, overlooking the lovely scenery. We would definitely reccomend for anyone who fancies a nice beak in the cotswolds.

A little piece of paradise
So serene and beautiful. Close to many charming towns. A daily walk out the door to a small village was so inviting as well as morning coffee watching the waddling ducks in the gardens or pond. Our hosts were lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for opening up your VRBO to share with others.

Garden View Delight!
We're so glad we stayed at Louise and Paul's stunning property for 5 days. Oh, the views! Whether sitting pond-side watching the ducks and birds, or enjoying breakfast at our little table overlooking the gardens through the wall of windows, the views and setting were exquisite! Paul and Louise were such gracious hosts, and we would definitely stay here again if visiting the Cotswolds. Easy access to all that we wanted to experience. 5 stars for comfort as well. Thank you again for a memorable experience!

A Hidden Gem
I can't even say enough positive things about the Great Wolford property! From the minute you pull into the driveway you are surrounded by the most serene landscape. From the English garden to the quaint pond with ducks, to the peaceful sitting area, to the historic house and cottage, you are taken away to an amazing place that makes you forget everything. Louise and Paul are incredible hosts that make you feel so welcome. When you walk up the stairs in the cottage to your living quarters you are surrounded by more beauty as you look out the picturesque windows overlooking the Cotswold farmland. No matter where you look on this property the views are amazing. Honestly if we didn't have plans to go to the British Grand Prix I would have spent way more time enjoying the local surroundings. But that will be for a next time because we are definitely coming back!! Wendy
