Cozy cabin
Cozy cabin. Great location. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of room to sleep and socialize inside and out. Wood stove keeps the house toasty and the back yard fire pit was a perfect ending to each night.

Great house, close to Burney & Lassen
Michael's house was great for our two families. We cooked all our meals there and there was everything we needed. Kitchen was spacious and also plenty of room for eating together. Great to have two bathrooms. The bathroom in the master has two doors so that you can close one for privacy and others still have access. Relatively close for day trips to both Lassen and Burney Falls.

Loved our stay
We rented this place to have Christmas with our family, our children live in Redding and we live in Sonora. There was just enough snow for the kids to make snow angels and have fun. We made family pix. It was the perfect place for all of us to be together. Our wonderful host met us at the cabin and had a fire already going to warm up the house. That was so very kind! Michael is a very nice person. We thoroughly enjoyed his kindness. Thank you for making our stay less stressful!!!

Great location, big property, lots of space
The house is great for a big group looking for a weekend at Lassen National Park. The common area and the kitchen are big and connected which makes it easy for a big group. The big backyard is also nice for a BBQ and enjoying a fire in the fire pit. One thing that could be improved is having screens on the windows so we can keep them open on hot days. Because some windows didn't have screens we couldn't keep the windows open because of the bugs. That meant either staying in a hot house or being outside getting eaten by bugs. A few more fans would also help keep the house cooler on those hot summer days.

Large, rustic getaway
Everything ran smoothly. We enjoyed our stay and the surrounding area. Michael is very responsive and thoughtful. It is a cabin in the forest, so there are bugs and creatures.

Great Getaway near Mt Lassen
Excellent location and lots of room and comfortable beds for all. 4 family groups each with private space and gathering together for meals and games inside and out. Owner Michael is super responsive. Check in and check out easy.

Fantastic location to explore Lassen
I was doing a road trip in the Sierra with 4 girl friends of mine in our late 40s : we loved this place ! It was spacious enough to all have a separate room and a large part of the house to cook and get together. Very close to the Northern entrance of Lassen National park and close to the stores and service station of Shingletown. We had a fantastic stay!

Great Family Cabin
This cozy cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather. It’s open floor plan of the kitchen, dinning room, living room is great for everyone to gather to enjoy meals, play games and watch football! Then the bedrooms and bathrooms are separated, allowing for private individual space. This cabin is also easy to find and located close to Lassen Park for exploring, Hat Creek for fishing, and Eskimo Hill for sledding fun. We will be back!

The perfect winter wonderland.
This property was beyond perfect for retreating into nature with my grown children, husband and our 2 dogs for my milestone birthday week and a quiet New Years! The house,the property,the host all worked perfectly for our needs and we'll definitely be returning to this property for future retreats. Might note, we're kinda foodies and came well prepared to cook up a storm for a week. We were slightly disappointed the kitchen was not quite as well equipped as expected, but made what was available work for our needs. I would recommend checking with the host, Michael for specific kitchen items you expect to use. Like over sized mixing bowls,strong mixing spoons, glass measuring cup etc. We had a large family group of big eaters so most people should be fine with what is offered and Michael is very accommodating so just let him know. P..S. there is a pretty full service grocery store not that far away. Great memories were made!

Good location and view, difficult to get in and out of property because the driveway was not cleared. Couldn’t have a lot of electronics going all at once because the lights would go out.

Shingletown Mess
I had the house reserved for my family to have someplace to stay and have a family gathering after my mother's funeral. When we got to the house there was already another family there- it had been double booked. Even though I had messaged with the property owner multiple times, we had to scramble at 11 o'clock at night to find rooms for everyone and ended up in a flea infested dive hotel since it was the only thing available. And then had to scramble to make arrangements at a public park so friends and family could gather for the memorial service. VRBO has been great to work with to help remediate, but it caused a great deal of stress and anguish and top of an already stressful time. Be careful when booking this rental, it is listed on multiple sites that obviously cannot be coordinated to avoid double booking in the future.

Great last minute getaway!
This was our first time renting a vacation rental and we were not disappointed with this property. The house was very roomy and clean, had plenty of room for 4 kids to stay in. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great location and big property
This house was great for our group of friends. We loved the backyard fire pit and BBQ. The property is also big and private. Only minor issue is that the house can get hot on a sunny day. So having fans on at night while sleeping will help. Would have been nice to have cooking oil and some basic spices too.

Awesome Family Trip
We loved our time at the property. It was a great central place to explore Lassen Park, as well as the Shasta area. Micheal suggested a very fun day trip from the cabin, and it was maybe our favorite day! Also close to so W waterfalls and great fishing lakes. Micheal was great to communicate with and very helpful. Everything we needed was at the cabin and we all loved our rooms. Excellent place to stay!!

Had an amazing spring break at this beautiful property with extended family. The property easily accommodated our extended family of 14. Michael was really responsive and his tips for visits around this area were super useful and interesting. The place is as described and really cozy. Would definitely visit again when we get a chance.

Lovely Home Near the Snow
We loved the spacious home and enjoyed stoking the fire to keep the house warm. We were able to escape to the quiet snow areas of Lassen. Michael is wonderful host and we appreciated the extra effort he put into making our stay comfortable and worry free. He is also very responsive to questions and/or concerns. We will be back!

Beautiful cabin stay!
Absolutely loved the cabin, pictures do not justify the beauty and size of this cabin, from the pictures I thought this place would be smaller than what I thought but it was actually way bigger than what I imagined, we had a warm welcome from Michael when we arrived which was a wonderful experience! The small walking trail was a plus as well.

Perfect property for a group stay
We had three couples and everyone had their own room. There is plenty of room for hanging out, cooking and playing games. It was well stocked with essentials, including tons of throw blankets. The owner was very friendly yet respected our privacy while there. We were not aware that we had to fuel the fire in the potbelly stove as the only heating source but that added to the fun of staying in a mountain area.

Winter retreat
Lovely, quiet cabin close to Lassen National Forest. The cabin is large and nicely renovated. We traveled as two families, with 5 children and 3 dogs, so we cooked in a lot. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked (slow cooker, rice cooker, plenty of pots and pans) and the dishwasher works great. We really enjoyed the fireplace and outdoor firepit. The owner, Michael, is extremely helpful and very responsive and provided ample firewood. We highly recommend this cabin!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. The location is excellent. It is close to Lassen NP , Redding and Burney Falls. There are great walks from the property too. Michael is a fantastic host. We had a power outage and he helped us turn that into an adventure. He also had a fire going for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this property. I hope we can return again.

Michael is a very responsive and helpful owner. He gave us several great suggestions for places to explore in the area. Our reservation was unfortunately cancelled due to PG&E turning off power in the region (fire prevention) - completely out of anyone’s control. Michael was great with communicating about the outage and suggesting other places to stay. We look forward to staying at this property in the future.

Owner was responsive, friendly and helpful. We had the possibility of a PG&E power outage due to high winds and he came by to let us know and give us tips on how to manage if power was out. That didn’t happen thankfully and we had a very nice stay. The bedrooms were huge and the beds were very comfortable. This is a good spot central to many recreational areas in the region.

We rented a place that could serve as a base camp for daytrips to Lassen, Burney Falls, and Shasta Caverns. With hotter than normal temperatures and wildfires, the house served as a respite from the heat and poor air quality.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. It has tons of room for large groups, and great kitchen and living facilities. The outdoor space is nice, especially if you have kids that like to run around. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. Our only suggestion for improvement is adding screens on more of the windows. We had windows open most of the time to cool off the house at the end of hot summer days, and the lack of screens on some windows meant that the tradeoff was allowing lots of bugs to join us in the house.

Relaxing and wonderfully disconnected.
We had a group of four, all in our 40s. The property is huge, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. The drive to Lassen Park is very fast, and we hiked every day we were there. Very comfy, very refreshing.
