"Upon arrival we inspected each room for damages and cleanliness. We found bloody underwear under the bed, dirty clothes under another bed, medication under the bed, dirty diaper and rotting food in the bathroom waste can. Dust amounts that would only be accumulated over months of neglect. There was urine around the toilets. Counter tops and floors were filthy. The refrigerator, stove and microwave were filthy. The furniture was soiled. There were beer cans in the yard. There were fingerprints all over the walls and broken doors and furniture. We immediately called the support number provided to report this mess and sent pictures documenting this mess. They said they would send a cleaner. But after 20 hours after check in, no one came. We went out and bought cleaning supplies and did it ourselves. Trying to find another place for 6 people on short notice was impossible. The management company, Stay Bubo, initially offered a refund for the cleaning but rescinded the offer because we were “hostile” on the phone and said we turned the cleaners away. Of course I was mad! This place was gross. And no one came to clean it. After driving 8 hours, we had to scrub this mess. VRBO opened a case but so far has sided with the owner/management company. We’ve used VRBO multiple times over the last 12 years and never had this problem. So appalled by the condition of this house and the lack of support from VRBO, even after providing proof. Shameful."

"This was the perfect cabin for a weekend away with the kids. Had just enough to be cozy with close proximity to the AT. We also enjoyed the frisbee golf!"

"Krista was amazing to communicate with. She was on top of everything, and when something unexpected happened she went out of her way to accommodate my husband and I. The cabin is *magical*. It is our favorite place we’ve ever stayed in Wintergreen. The fireplace, the big windows & sunlight, the well stocked kitchen, the VIEWS, and the space. Very clean, and obviously loved and well taken care of. We loved it, thank you for welcoming us into your home! It’s a treasure."

"Very clean, incredible view, jacuzzi tub is absolutely awesome. Remember to bring your own shampoo. Lots of hiking trails of varying difficulty close by. I hope to stay there again"

"We loved being able to bring our dog with us on our long weekend mountain trip. This is an older, but cozy, comfortable and unique cabin high up on a Wintergreen mountaintop, with great views of the sunset from the big bay window and especially from the wonderful hot tub. We also enjoyed making fires in the huge stone fireplace at night. Great location next to the national park, and a block and a half from the old Appalachian Trail trailhead, which leads to the AT and the Blue Ridge Parkway. A short drive down the mountain takes you to Nellysford, which has a good selection of restaurants, breweries and hiking activities. Beautiful Crabtree Falls is also nearby for a day hike. The master bed is very comfortable and the bathrooms/showers have undergone nice modern updates. Would stay there again!"

"This home was just as promised! Comfortable, clean, and fashionable furniture and decor. Kitchen was well stocked, and the bonus fridge in the basement was a plus! Gorgeous sunset views, either on the patio or from the living room couch. Plenty of room for our multigenerational family stay. Super close to breweries, cideries, and wineries, in addition to antique stores in the cutest little towns! Highly recommend!"
