Okay hotel but not up to par
Not up to par with the 5 star and price. Overall it’s an okay hotel to stay at, but on the older side, coffee machine was not provided in room. Service was mediocre. 2 people stayed in the room, but only 1 pair of slippers were provided,etc. Room is dated and some furniture have obvious scratch and chip on it. Location is good. Breakfast is on the simple side, nothing special. Would expect more with the price paid and as a JW standard, need some upgrade for sure.

Lovely Decor, Comfortable Bed
The lobby is very beautiful, as you can see from the pictures. The hotel room was quite nice, too, including a comfortable bed and stylish decor. The lighting in the hotel room could be improved a little bit. The hotel is a close cab ride (or approx. 40 minute walk) to Coco Park, but the area around the hotel is perhaps less exciting. The staff at the hotel were very kind.

Very nice but does not deserve a 5 star rating.
The rooms are lovely with excellent air conditioning and good bedding. The restaurant is not very nice . The service is good. The lobby needs work. Because the rooms and service are good I give it a good rating especially for the price.

I stayed at this JW in 2010 and then again around 2012. I had such a nice experience at that time. I look back on it with purely positive feelings. Now as we reach the end of 2019, it's not hard to see that time has taken a toll on this property. The carpets have hardened, the wood is starting to splinter, and the once fragrant 5 star hotel smell has faded away. I will say that the executive lounge at this property remains to be the crown jewel of the property. The breakfast is really tasty. I don't think I'll be back to this JW. This stay was a decent final farewell though. Goodbye old friend.

Breakfast in the Executive was a challenge as I had to keep on checking if my egg order was ready as they did not bring it to you Angela and the team were very helpful Jasper also went out of his way to assist The rooms and corridors are becoming tired now and need a refurbishment

Great hotel- bad enligh at concierge desk
Great hotel but it would be better if concierge spoke better english. They sold us bus tickets to go to Hong Kong and the service was very poor -the first driver - taking us to border -didn’t help us with all the luggages we had- parked pretty far. We had to walk the entire parking lot into customs. We were never told of this. We would have made other arrangements. The ticket included the bus out of customs to Kowloon/Hong Kong. This bus driver made a stop and everyone got off the bus including us; it was the wrong stop- he didnt say this was not the Hong Kong stop. He also didn’t even bother to help anyone or confirm that passengers were taking their own luggage. Two of our luggages were out on the sidewalk because some other passenger removed them to get his; bus driver remained seated on the bus the entire time. When i tried to get my last luggage from the storage( had been pushed deep inside by other passengers) the bus started closing the storage door without even noticing I was there. It could have hit me! And after he left and we got a taxicab we found out we were 30 min away from Hong Kong. Very bad experience. They sold us a terrible service- to travel with luggage.

Room was very good. Did see everything that is in room was chargeable. Even the smallest of chocolates was on the minibar menu. Breakfast excellent though was disappointed that the lady who asked me if I wanted coffee couldnt understand the basics of a white coffee, or a black coffee with milk. Then sat for 20 minutes eating breakfast and no coffee arrived. Other than that, perfect.
