The property was very old, and not kept up. Shears were dingy, towel had big holes. Seeking tiles were badly stained. Some of the office building’s windows were broken. Pictures on website were not of these rooms. No internet. Was given a queen bed instead of the king we booked. Went to Walmart and bought sheets and blankets as all was non-refundable and we couldn’t afford a different hotel after expenditure.

I couldn't get the door to lock when leaving. The girl showed me she could do it but laughed and walked away when I still couldn't. Had to leave 2 days early. The sheets and towels looked dirty. They don't provide hand towels. There were no glasses or cups.
Very nice Front Desk lady named Brooklyn. Check in is easy, and she goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of. Quiet and safe as well. I'd definitely stay here again. Not bad at all and it is very affordable.
Check in was amazing she was so helpful and kind. Definitely need more people like her in this world. Room was clean and very spacious. Definitely would come back if we are in the area.

Dated, minimal room furnishings. Ample parking for all types of vehicles.
The staff was very nice. The facilities were clean, the bed very comfortable and it had the necessary amenities. I was very happy with my stay after a long day driving. It was a great bargain.

Supposedly we got the best room. The carpet wasnt cleaned in months. There was stains every where, the carpet, the bed and the chairs. No wash cloth to wash up with. The lobby of the check in had food all over the floor. Had a coffe pot. No coffee cups for coffee. We stayed because i couldnt get my money back BUT I WILL NEVER STAY IN THAT DUMP OF A HOTEL AGAIN. You could almost believe that the check in person's whole family lives there. The check in lady was dressed in clothes that looked like they hadnt been washed. There was no professionalism what so ever about check in or the ladies that checked us in. They had extensions cords that had wires showing, kinda of a death trap if you ask me. I had to ask for my ID back because she still had it in the copier. The door to the room looked like it had been kicked in. It must of been the Lucille Ball room, because pictures of her were everywhere. No where near " The best room". You definitely get what you paid for. We was afraid to sleep there because of the way it felt when we walked in the room. Room #208. We walked around the room til we went to bed with our shoes on. The floor was that bad.
I booked a queen, but when I got there, my choice was a queen with mold on the walls & ceiling, or I could be "upgraded" to 2 doubles with plumbing problems (no water). I had already signed my reciept,with no refund, before my options for the 2 rooms were presented. I got the key card to the double bed room, went to Subway to grab dinner, & went back to give back the key cards. I have stayed here 3 other times in the last 2 years with no problems, but last night was not it. I went down the street to another hotel, and stayed the night.
Mouse droppings between the pillows. Molding around floor randomly falling away from walls. Dirty Dirty Dirty!!

You inspected the room before you agreed to rent after office stuff showed you the room. I wish you had just came to the office with any issues we would’ve changed your room immediately or at least looked into the issues you’re having with truly apologize about your findings. Please come to the office and we can still address the issue and take care of you immediately.
Run and Run fast. This motel is a zero if I could rate it… I checked in and staff lied to Expedia on a recorded line, that I never even checked in…But they failed to realize I had my receipt after checking in. I noticed the room schedule to be a non-smoking and it was a smoking. Not even clean and no towels. I left within two minutes and returned the key. This is not a well run hotel. Refused to provide us a refund.

It was clean with a comfortable bed.
For $45 it was ok. The room was dated, but it was clean with a comfortable bed. The toilet valve was broken, so every time we went to the bathroom we had to fill up the tank with water to get it to flush. We arrived there late at night, so we were too tired to ask for a different room by the time we noticed the toilet problem.
Go somewhere else! The decor is outdated. The beds were the smallest queens I’ve ever seen. In truth I believe they were full size but I didn’t have a measuring tape. Worst was flies and bugs everywhere in the bathroom, no toilet paper and no towels. Do not recommend!
We did not check in until around 7 pm and the room was not ready. There were no towels in the room and the carpet was soaking wet due to staff stating that they had to have it shampooed. When we left the next morning our towels were outside sitting on the air conditioner. Poor customer service. The room was not as it was displayed on their website. It was not remodeled at all. Quite disgusting.!!!

I had no towels in my room on arrival @ 3pm, the desk clerk said she would bring them to me shortly. It was a little inconvenient as I needed to shower for a dinner appointment. After I showered and "dripped dry", I left the hotel and came back @8:30pm or so, still I had no bath towels.
The office was locked up most of the time during my stay. I managed to contact the front desk finally and they said they would bring me some towels. I received them shortly after, but if I had not found the clerks to remind them, I would have had no towels for the morning either.
I had a few issues at check in but the staff were quick to fix the problems and I’ll definitely stay here again. I would like a bi weekly rate but nobody ever answered me
Room was cute done in an I Love Lucy theme but fridge was not working and room wa extremely hot since the air wasn’t turned on until I paid for room. It is a very old property and outside has had nothing done to it for years, but they have tried to keep up the rooms. Needs new carpet but bathroom was spotless!

Good morning, thank you for your business and your stay at our hotel. We turn the lights and TV on before you check in to make sure when you enter the room it’s not dark and welcoming. If you prefer next time for us to leave the lights off and TV off, will be most happy to do that for you.
Property advertised outdoor pool. It was an inflatable kiddie pool on a concrete slab. We didn't stay. I knew it was non refundable, but I was charged by BOTH Expedia & Tall Corn Inn. So i paid Double for a night we didn't stay. I don't mind paying once... but twice? When i contacted both companies I was told it wasn't refundable. Absolutely no help from either company. I won't be using Expedia again either.
It's a fun place to stay because of the history and the de or was fun. Only issue we had was running out of toilet paper and not having anymore in the room.
Did not like check in, room in terrible shape, furniture, no tissues in holder, no coffee maker, smoke alarm dangling from ceiling, one chair broken other chair badly worn and filthy, burn holes in bedspread, gap around door and heater unit, cobwebs,room definitely needs paint. Would never stay there again or ever recommend to anyone
Brooklyn was very helpful in checking me in. I have stayed at the Tall Corn 3 times now, & they always make me feel at home.

Close to the Hub of the Universe Music Festival in Imogene, Iowa. Price is the main factor to staying at this hotel. The motel is well over due for a refresh, which is suppose to occur under the new management.
I liked that there was a bar/lounge on the property but found it was not even open for business as advertised. I did not like that I reserved two queen bed room and was given a room with doubles. I was given the queen beds after calling the office. The light above the vanity/ mirror did not work. Bedding looked dirty.
Bed bugs, flat pillows no WIFI, the router was broke, tried useing the room phone , that didnt even give a dial tone. Tv was tiny. Room stunk so bad. Air conditioner smelled like PISS , missing prescription meds from my personal suit case.. i know housekeeping is only one with access to room, took shower Saturday morning left our room, came back noticed new towels, they took garbage out put didnt replace the garbage bag. Went to take medicine s this morning, noticed im short 3 days! And what a flipping quidence that we checked in late friday and the ladys. Was like . Sign this non refundable policy n because we didnt know better - we did 😡 this hotel needs to be torn down.

My crew thoroughly check that room and there are no bedbugs and TV is a decent size but unfortunately it’s not up to your expectation. If you had just came to the office once or mentioned Any issues, we would’ve switched your room or they would’ve called the general manager to see how we can address any inconvenience you’re having. We checked all the rooms that were checked in and checked out there are no bedbugs or any of the bugs of that nature in them occupied rooms. If you can let us know what room number you were in or your name so we can specially revisit the rooms or the room you were in to make sure the safety of the other guests.
We have checked all the rooms that were occupied on 15 August and there are no bedbugs or any type of bugs of that nature. We even had exterminator come out and double check. If you let us know what room number you were in we may be able to revisit in double verify.
