We had a lovely week here, the location is beautiful, great views and secluded and quiet. The house was spacious and comfortable, our family really enjoyed our time here.
Highly recommend this beautiful house. My book group stayed here the past two years - yes we came back because it so suited our needs. Comfortable beds, beautiful view of the water, very private location, clean and spacious home. A great place for a getaway!
The view from this home is beautiful. While sitting on the beautiful deck you can see and hear so much wildlife. The property is private and very quiet. There were a few slight issues with the house, but nothing that would keep me from coming back. The management was so responsive throughout our stay and addressed the issues we had. Overall it was a wonderful weekend away.
The property was clean, but hard to reach the water. Luckily had some strong young men with us who could help get the kayaks in the water. The house itself was perfect for a large family. It was very easy to communicate with property management.
Beautiful big house on Puget Sound in remote location
My family wanted to have a mini-reunion but not saddle anyone with hosting. So we picked this large house roughly between us to have a brief get together. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Very peaceful and remote. The one minor complaint I would have is dealing with the gate to access the property. It is locked shut with a big chain that has two locks on it and I found it confusing and hard to deal with. But once on the property, it is beautiful and serene. Highly recommended if you have a large group and want something away from it all and with a beautiful view of the water.
Overall, pretty good stay. The house was very clean and stocked well for basic cooking & food prep. The decks were fun to be on and the outdoor fire pit area was a nice amenity. Down side: we love to play games as a group and the foosball table and dartboard included in the advertising pictures were unavailable. There were no balls for the table nor was there a dart board or darts for us to use. When I messaged Valta about them, the reply I got did not address these items but rather instructed me more about the check out process and potential fines for not following their rules. Over all communication felt more business and money focused than ensuring we, as guests, were able to access all of what the property had to offer. The views were lovely, and as a group we did enjoy our stay.
After 10 years of book group retreats and looking for a house every fall that would meet all the evolving needs of 6 friends who continue to become a little more particular with age and wisdom...this was such a great find! The space was flexible for all of us to enjoy thoroughly. The house is large and roomy, with a lot of light and various spaces to retreat in pairs or in solitude. Four were able to have single bedrooms with roomy comfortable beds providing an array of firmness (Goldilocks would have been pleased!) as well as easy access to 2 bathrooms. The shared room was ample space for two with a king bed and a beautiful bath. We made great meals; soaked in the hot tub and sunken tub; took many walks in the beautiful neighborhood that lines the surrounding coves; and used the kayaks (clearer directions for how to access them easily in the house would have been appreciated). It rained all weekend, as the PNW autumn is bound to do, but an amazing picture window with views of rainbows, seals, eagles, loons, gulls, and herons provided the best show we could ask for. We never turned on a television once. If the dates and stars align, we think our search is over for the perfect annual book retreat house!
Our group enjoyed the house and location. The house is spacious and allowed for a lot of "hang out" space on both the main floor living room and downstairs rec-rooms.
Our family of ten had a wonderful time!! The home is very beautiful, clean, and well maintained. But the best part is the view, the access to the water, walks up and down the beautiful lane, plenty of blackberries to pick, and the glimpses of different wildlife!
This house is beautiful. A couple of negatives or suggestions: the beds are way too hard, get some mattress toppers. Some extra blankets for the cold nights. The hot tub needs a canopy for the rainy nights. The ant infestation needs to be dealt with. Other than that, everything was perfect!
House was Great size, well appointed, beautiful location. Unfortunately the locked gate was challenging and “quarter” mile driveway into the house is unpaved and very uneven. The HVAC system had difficulty keeping the house warm but were provided small room heaters to assist. Host reassured us the HVAC system will be updated soon. Overall our family enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Dirty, pest problems, unsafe and pictures do not represent what you get.
Ants, spiders and mouse problem! House not cleaned well. Shower curtains orange with mildew. Not well equipped. Only seating for 4 in the livingroom, couch was gone. Firepit was unusable- faded broken chairs, uneven pavers. Rugs curled at edges, tripping hazard. Landscaping not maintained at all. Overrun with weeds. I have pictures and texts to prove everything.
Everything on the listing is pretty well spot on, but do be aware that the hot tub is small, comfortably holding just 2 adults. There are 4 seats, but you'll want to make sure you're real comfortable with the other 2 people you invite in there.
The property is also thankfully quite secluded and a bit more rustic than pictured, with a long (about 2 or 3 blocks) 1 lane gravel road through a wooded area leading to the driveway, and currently seemingly empty lots on either side, other than maybe an RV tucked back in one of them. You'll want to make sure not to venture onto the other properties, though the boundaries are pretty clearly marked, so it's not really much of a concern.
We loved the open living space, the natural light, and the comfortable furniture.
There is only one bathroom downstairs for three bedrooms and it wasn't very clean.
The house took a full 24 hours to warm up to a comfortable temperature for mid February. There are space heaters that the host recommended using but every time we plugged one in we blew a fuse. We moved it to different outlets only to blow a different fuse.
We enjoyed our time together but the heat was and issue for me
We booked our stay for 8 adults to celebrate cancer recovery and to honor the loss of friends who did not make it. When we arrived the house reeked of fish and we had to purchase scented candles that we used all weekend to try and drive the smell away. We opened all the windows and kept them open throughout the weekend. The air conditioning in the main room did not work so we purchased fans that some of our guests ended up taking home. The emergency number listed in the framed instructions for the house is out of service and we had to ask for a new number. The garage only had space for one car as the other bay was filled with garbage. Speaking of garbage, when we arrived the garbage cans were at the end of the driveway and overflowing. Our group picked up the trash and tried to tidy up the space. The garbage was not picked up. We left on Saturday to go out to lunch and for a hike and came back to find the garbage cans and recycling cans blocking the driveway to the house and the garbage was once again strewn about. In reality, the property is very narrow and staying within the boundaries is difficult, if not impossible. The photographs make it look like it has expansive beach access - it does not. The neighbors have security cameras pointed at the rental property - which is illegal and flew drones over our party - which is also illegal. We also feel that all of the rules, regulations, and restrictions should be shared up front. We would not stay again until things are fixed.
