The grandeur of the hotel and friendliness of the staff are something everyone should experience once when travelling. Every employee we encountered, whether at the valet, the reception, in the elevator, hallways or restaurant greeted us with a smile, hello and genuine interest. A room checker, completely unprompted, offered us water in the hallway on our way out in the morning. The wait staff in the bar were extremely knowledgeable and took their time explaining the offerings to ensure we ordered the right cocktail for our persona taste. The only drawback was the comfort of the mattress in our room. It may be because our room hadn’t yet been renovated, but it was far too soft and almost felt like a foam mattress. Some floors have recently been renovated, and for a fee, we could have ungraded. Overall, it was a very memorable experience.
