Breakfasts were really tasty with a good choice of cooked and continental foods, juices and cereals. But what made our stay so special were the Hosts, Brendan and Deborah who were so welcoming, happy to recommend places to visit and eat and always ready to have a chat and a laugh – a big thank you to them and their staff. The owner/managers were much in evidence and were welcoming and helpful without being excessively friendly. Lovely Hotel with superb hosts Brendon and Deborah. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who were very friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is in the perfect position overlooking the sea. The Bar area and seating outside are perfect to sit and watch all the ships at anchor on their way in and out of Southampton. Only complaint is it is a B and B only. A few snacks on the menu would be a good addition and boost bar takings in the evenings. The proprietors were very welcoming and attentive. The room was basic but generally satisfactory, we would have appreciated better quality towels. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to make sure safety was priority #1 without causing any inconvenience.
