One night when we came back to the hotel, we saw sex service cards slipped into our room under the door! totally unacceptable. Its the cheapest possible hotel near Shanghai Tourist Area. The Hotel its just too deteriorated and there is a lot of locals who work around there who stays there and its a lot of walking noisy people on the halls. We stay there for 3 nights and we sacrificed ourselves just to be that closed and not go out of budget. Beds are extremely HARD, the room its clean but everything is so deteriorated that it doesn't help on the looks. It's on a dirty alley. But I couldn't find hotel when I come back to hotel. Freight departure time was PM 2:00,but I was wandering around to find this hotel by PM11:30. Finally,I tried let taxi drivier find hotel,he barely can find after several wandering. I let him wait me and check out,then go Shanghai pudong airport. I could meet the fleight time in safe owe to this driver. I really appreciated to this guy. I've got a lot of stress and loose weight 2kg at a day. When I got in to the room the toilet was dirty and the floor was dusty. Another disappointing aspect was the hot water, if you spent more than 10 minutes in the shower the water start to feel cold. I thought I'd save some cash but boy, what a mistake. There are no photos of the 'standard' room, but it is nothing like the pictures shown. A kettle and complimentary toothbrush warrant 3 stars, but furniture and condition doesn't even rate for 1 ! The carpets are dirty and threadbare, live electrics on show. Single glazing that can't be properly closed and leaks, and broken heating while 5 deg outside. It is in a dangerous area, difficult to find with no external hotel sign and the staff only speak Chinese so recommend all Westerners avoid. Well, I intentionally booked a room with free wired internet in the room, because of my laptop, as sometimes wifi does not work on my laptop. No wired internet even though it says in the room description, wifi unable to use, difficulties with wifi on my iPhone, too. Room smelled of stench cigarette smoke, even towels smelled of cigarette smoke, after 3 days my clothes smelled like cigarette smoke, AC unit was broken, the maintenance guy came and hit it twice to make it work, it was leaking all day and all night whether working or not, curtains were not really black out drapes.... I was supposed to get a free bottled water upon arrival, based on room description, there was not any, Among other things I was welcomed with a bucket filled with dirty water and a cleaning cloth right under the AC unit next to the TV... Really? This room is not to be advertised for any price, well below the minimum standards, even for China... I ant my money back....
