service and staff are very bad. They are not friendly and do not give advice or solve any question as tourist. They charged me 3 times my credit card , one previous to arrival with complete fee, one for pre guarantee arrival with one night fee and when leaving hotel and doing check out they charge me again

My room was upgraded due to d original room wasn't ready upon check in. Not really near d station but still alright. No breakfast service. But overall is good.

The room was luxurious but a bit outdated. With a little upgrade this hotel would have been perfect. The carpet in my room had a big stain like something spilled on it and they tried to get rid of it but couldn’t. Other than that, the room was large, it had a separate office space, and a separate spot for a jacuzzi. Location was perfect. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. I’ll definitely stay here again but will ask for a room without a stain in the future.

The hotel overall is great - comfort, location, service, and it's tucked away off the beaten path so it's quiet... the only complaint I have is that the gym is very minimal. There are 2 treadmills (only 1 was working) and a small stack of free weights tucked in the corner of a dining room. I have stayed at this hotel almost every time I visit Shanghai for the past 8 years, and I will continue to do so.

There is a bar next to the hotel playing loud music starting from 9pm each night. You can basically hear every beat of the music in your bed. I tried to complain on the first night but then it keeps coming back every night. Meanwhile the person at the concierge is always away from the front desk. Meaning there’s no one to pick up inquiry calls from the rooms.

I can't understand how we can run a Hotel without a basic knowledge of service. From Front Desk to cleaning staff. There is not attention to details.Front desk doesn t know how interact with guest and the maintenance of the hotel condition is very poor. I have been there few time not many place has a big room like this hotel and big bathroom.they simple don t care about maintenance. Value for money still good. Location is great!!

I was disappointed about the bad maintenance my last stay there was a few months ago but this time rooms was very smelly, elevator smelly windows totally dirty the mattress was worn out TV is old and the remote didn't work and aircon was very nois needs servicing also nearby a night club openened and the area is now very noisy

Great location. But there is a pub at 1st floor of the building which made a huge noise every night until 2:00am. I stayed there for over 10 days and none of the night had great sleep until 2:30am.

Good value for money and largest room for staying
That is a very comfortable place for my Shanghai trip. The room size very large and staff very helpful. The hotel located in the centre of the city, so you just walk to any where you want to go. We are so happy to stay here 4 days. I will come back here again.

Absolutely comfortable place
This is an amazing place and services. We are so happy to stay and we have felt like home. So we have booked for the first two days and later added another four days to stay in this hotel. We have stayed six days in total.The room size is big enough. Overall although the room facilities is a bit old, but it is absolutely very good value for the money and location is in center of the city and even more. 这是一个令人惊叹的地方和服务。我们很高兴能留下来. 而且又连续预订了4天。我们感觉像回到了家。房间非常大。总体来说，虽然房间设施有点陈旧，但它绝对是非常物有所值，酒店离市中心很近。

I liked this hotel, except that there was very loud construction going on while we were staying there. I wish it had been indicated in the notes when we were booking. The gym was also closed, and I was looking forward to using it. We checked out two days early.

Don't let the unassuming lobby fool you, once you get up to the room you will be very pleased. The rooms were spacious and beautiful with comfortable beds and a fully stocked bathroom! Very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel rooms at this hotel.

Large rooms in a good location
The hotel is in the midst of the French Concession and has very large, well-appointed rooms. The service was not particularly friendly. For example, the check-in staff did not welcome me or speak to me, even though it was quite clear that I could speak Chinese.

A jewel in the neighborhood
It’s our favorite hotel to stay in Shanghai. The location is fantastic. The hotel’s design is very unique and pleasant despite the fact that it needs some facelift. It is excellent value for what you are getting.

Mixed experience. Loud music until 2 or 3am
Not the best experience. The area overall is great. Easy to get around and close to metro. Lots of local places to eat Shangainese food. room was specious and clean. However the hotel has a nightclub on one of the lower floors playing loud music until 2 or 3am. It’s so loud that staying on 4th floor you can’t sleep.

Hotel is at a convenient location. Room is spacious but the shower area needs renovation. Registration Staff’s command of English needs improvement but a staff named Mr. Chan and the manager were helpful.

Outdated Boutique Hotel
Stayed here before many years ago when it first opened. Has lost its charm since. Needs more maintenance. Rooms are big though. Not much service. Hotel entrance kind of hidden, most drivers cannot find. Also driveway was small and cars need to back up to get out.
