Room design is chic and eye catching even though some room conditions are no longer top notch (decaying door frames, faulty toilet door). Clean and good sized room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast spread was not the biggest but decent, even though it’s the exact same items for both mornings we were there. Was stuck inside the bathroom due to faulty door mechanism but the team reacted swiftly and professionally, and excellent service recovery from the team. Overall a good stay.

We stayed one night. Overall great experience. Great location. Minutes walk to the Bund. Across street from the financial center and 15 minutes to Yu Garden. Staff were professional and helpful. The restaurant had a great view and food was very delicious. A nice gym facing the bund. The room is clean; although a bit old. However, the bathroom is very spacious.

It is absolutely disappointing that the map indication for the hotel address in Expedia is NOT the location of the hotel! The map showed that the hotel is located next to the park, at the junction of FuYou Road and Renmin Road, and it turns out the hotel is actually located ZhongShan Road and Dongmen Road. Being said that, the location is still good as it is at the side of the River. Hotel room is a bit old but comfortable, breakfast is good and staff can speak English well.

#### Ok hotel in a ok area

It was an ok hotel in a ok area. I would not rate this above a 9\. It’s a very average hotel for the price. There are much better options on the bund. It may have been nice at one point but now it looks dated and tired. The food is lacking for what is a city with fantastic cuisine. The area is fine but not particularly inspiring.

The property kind old with very bad cigarettes smell and not clean, the staff working in the front desk wasn’t perfection at all, not even give us the wrong infor of the taxi when we are waiting, and also lake of knowledge.

No room service after 22:00\. In hotel with 180 rooms it's very important to have it. On the check out this morning I met one of the most rude person in the hospitality sector. He wanted to charge me for extras while I had money in the deposit which he refused to use. He was shouting me and finally he kicked me out from the hotel

Brilliant location, fabulous sized rooms with beds that are like a cloud - slept super well. However, reception was cold and unhelpful, for an international hotel - very little english help. Infact, it was only on the last day that we found out where to get breakfast that we had paid for but never got!

Hotel is fine but albeit a bit dated I feel. Not a far walk to some malls and Bund/Nanjing Road. \*Not sure if the bar Char is run by hotel but if it is they need a new manager as his attitude is terrible and is the reason I won’t stay again. He pretty much made it his mission to try not let us in bar, even though we were staying guests with friends and also a dinner reservation. He needs a attitude adjustment ASAP

#### Will NEVER stay there again! 

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened. It was my favourite hotel in Shanghai. The location the decor the amenities and service. BUT this trip it completely changed. No paid a high price for the room. I felt like I was in a cheap Chinese motel. They had trays of toothbrushes at reception as there were ZERO amenities in the room. The bed was hard as a rock! The restaurant all Chinese dishes, staff didn’t speak English -!: gave me wrong directions to a site. CHAR was terrible! They forgot how to cook a steak and charged a fortune!
