This condo was exactly what we had hoped for during 4 night stay. We just wanted to relax and have some quiet beach time and this condo was perfect for that. The beach was beautiful and had umbrellas and loungers set up, so you just had to take a 2 minute walk and be ready to relax. It was so nice not to have to haul a whole bunch of stuff to the beach and worry about forgetting something. The condo is so close it’s easy to just walk back up and get what you need (like a refill of drinks from the blender!). Most of the time we had the beach to ourselves, it was never super busy (we went in early June). This is a small complex so no big crowds here. The condo itself was really nice and was super clean! Everything you need is there, and is a great floor plan. It was well stocked of the necessities in case you forget something. You can see the beach and hear the waves from either the living area windows or from the upstairs balcony (which is huge by the way). We would definitely stay here again. ##### Steven B. The beachfront is truly exquisite. The property is clean, spacious and well-stocked. A home away from home! The rooftop patio is the perfect place to enjoy Cayman sunsets and you can easily walk along the beach to several hotels and restaurants for a meal or drink. We appreciated the beach towels and beach furniture available to us as well. Sundowner has thought of everything! We had an excellent time staying in this apartment. It is located in an ideal place – isolated enough from the crowds but still within an enjoyable walk on the beach to the livelier areas on the 7-mile beach and to most restaurants. The apartment is clean, modern, and very well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Communication with the property manager was pleasant and easy and check-in was seamless. We loved that the unit was only a few steps away from the water! We truly enjoyed having breakfasts on the balcony and a relaxing time on the beach, always with ample lounge chairs and umbrellas readily available. We sure miss this little paradise! ##### Tali C. The location can’t be beat and the views were incredible. The unit was very clean, well equipped, and suited our family’s needs perfectly. For those traveling with kids, there were a few tubes and noodles as well as some basic snorkel gear to keep them occupied at the beach. I’d recommend traveling with or renting some beach toys if you have little ones! Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay. Some suggestions would be more hooks for drying towels in the downstairs bath, purchasing some additional forks for the kitchen, and making some board games available on the off chance of some rainy weather. Super clean with all necessary amenities. Thank you for the special gift upon arrival. Updated with cute bathrooms, clean lines, and light colored furniture. Fresh and beachy. Stunning view. Close to everything yet off the beaten path. Snorkeling right offshore. Informative guest books and pamphlets available upon arrival. It was great to have a Kitchen. Basic kitchen staples, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in every bathroom, blow dryers, and a washer and dryer made made our stay even more hassle free. ##### Ashley D. A couple of things that can be improved are the drying machine. It doesn’t seem to work that well. We tried doing a load and it took 2 1/2 hrs for the dryer to properly dry everything. Also they need to put some felt or rubber chair tips on the bar chairs as well as the dining room chairs so they don’t scrape the floor and make that annoying screeching sound (I’m sure the neighbors below do not appreciate that noise) other than that the place is amazing and would definitely recommend to other travelers. ##### HEUNG Stayed 4 nights in Jul 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Haley S. 12 Dec 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Fabulous stay on Seven Mile Beach Sundowner 8 was lovely. The location was pristine and quiet. The condo was well supplied, and the property manager, Chanel, was kind and very helpful. You can swim and snorkel straight from the beach behind unit, or walk about a mile north up the beach to some of the best snorkeling that we saw our entire trip. The condo was sparkling clean when we arrived and everything was as advertised. The pictures are accurate (2023) and the beach truly looks like paradise. I would definitely come again! My only advice to others is to note that this condo is on the 2nd floor and then has indoor stairs up to the bedroom and porch, and those stairs are steep and very slippery! This was not an issue for my husband and I, but if you had small children or have mobility issues it could pose a problem. ##### Haley S. We are a family of 3, it could fit more, but we did not need anymore space. It was just as it said, all renovated and very clean. The location is spot on!! The beach is very quiet and steps away from your door!!!! Balcony is great for breakfast and sunsets!!! The neighbors live there and were very nice. We walked down to the Seafire for most of our excursions through Red Sail Sports. Which I must recommend Red Sail Sports for all your excursions, they were absolutely great!! We went diving, sting Ray city, Rum Point, jet skiing, snorkeling and diner cruise and I can’t say one negative thing about Red Sail Sports!! We had dinner on the beach at Seafire, which was great. I really did not need to contact our property manager because I had no issues!! I would definitely stay there again in the future. We want to go back already! ##### Beth T. The condo was well stocked and everything was great. Wish the property owner would have had a cooler & a few beach chairs that we could have used while we went to other beaches on the island. Also, when you cooked the venting isn't so good, house fills with smoke really fast so we just opened up the sliding windows & everything was okay. Would have like a few better cooking pans to use, the ones there were would make the food stick to the pan. Also, wish they had a few plastic storage containers for food.. We loved the location and it was quiet area & the beach was nice to have right outside of the condo for morning swims and even evening swims. You can get to most locations on the island very easily from the condo. ##### Cathy K. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our Cayman vacation was paradise!! Love that the condo was right on the private, Seven Mile Beach area!! The beach was so secluded and tranquil!! The condo unit was clean and well decorated. All the cooking utensils in the kitchen were useful and there were plenty of bath and beach towels. There was plenty of body wash and shampoo in each bathroom as well. But please be advised, there are scorpions on Cayman!! We tried to open one of the beach umbrellas on the beach and we were startled by a scorpion who was resting inside the umbrella! Just have to be careful not to get too close to one!! The condo manager was notified and he came and posted a sign to warn anyone who tried to open the umbrella. Overall, the condo was well maintained and we had a comfortable stay. Can’t wait to visit Cayman Islands again! ##### LILY P. We have vacationed in Grand Cayman for the past three years, and we've stayed in a different VRBO each time. We've been looking for "the one," and now we've found it!Sundowner 8 is nicely updated and well furnished. It is very clean and the bed/bath/beach linens are great quality. The rooftop patio (which is actually on the same level as the primary suite) is really what sealed the deal for us. It was so lovely to have morning coffee and sunset cocktails while enjoying that view! The beach furniture is also nice, and the stretch of beach in front of the condo is quiet and beautiful. Some spots have shade for several hours of the day. We had good snorkeling between the condo and Coccoloba (our favorite casual beachfront dining, close enough to walk to for dinner), but still went to Cemetery beach to snorkel a few times. Logging into our movie streaming accounts at night was easy on the smart TVs. The only amenity we would have loved is access to a kayak or paddle boards. We learned from one of the permanent residents that some units have them and some don't. We found a rental company close by that delivered.As a note to the management: The welcome gift was lovely! There were just a few things that we think are in need of minor maintenance/updating. One of the glass panels of the sliding door on the main level is beginning to fog inside, which affects the view; the dining chairs are ready for a steam cleaning; and the kitchen could use a couple of new prep knives. ##### Jonathan T.
