The provision of a fan in the bedroom was a very welcome addition for the hot nights. It's in a very quiet location, but convenient for amenities in nearby Ceret and a wealth of walking options. Our only disappointment was that the bat roost that had been in the veranda roof had been blocked up since we were last there - on our last visit we had enjoyed sitting out...

(light salt water too which was lovely) Very helpful and pleasant owners (Francoise & Giacomo) who also left us in private. We were looking for a few tranquil and relaxing days with access to coast/towns and mountains during the day - this surpassed our expectations! very ecological with solar power etc. Tip; take a swim or sit by the pool after dark, the sky at night is breathtaking - highly recommended."

"The house is beautifully renovated in a Catalan style, traditional to this area. It has everything you need for short or long term stays and is very homely. The village (Palalda) is a perfect location on the south facing (sunny!) side of the mountain. Great for sports as there are so many cycling, running/ hiking routes in the area and it is close to the lake at Saint Jean and not far from the coast."

"Hotel has great facilities, but it has poor cleanness. we found, at least, 30 bugs inside our apartment. We had to remove the bugs several times as they coming out from somewhere we could not find. In addition, closest and other places in the rooms where not clean and smelly. We report the issues at check out as we checked in late afternoon, were going to stay for one night, and did not want to have other people coming into our apartment to clean."

The breakfast is good (11 Euros) but the tea and coffee are awful due to the chlorinated water. "Ambient music" in the reception area, bar and dining room is annoying noise. Very friendly service."
