Was surprised that rice wasn’t fresh: chewy and unlike Korean or Japanese rice, which is usually exceptional! Best thing about Solaria is its location: smack in the heart of Myeongdong; near shopping, restaurants and subway station. Easy to use and get around Seoul. Paid $250 per night and have definitely paid less for more: better room, better food and much better service (no one smiles at this hotel; could be cultural, but they all seemed either unhappy or too complacent). The beds come with two pillows. The first of which was far too hard to sleep comfortably and the other flat and equally uncomfortable. The only other issue was the heating was permanently on, and can't be turned down by guests during winter months.
