When I can back at 4pm , I went to bed 3 but that was in use , a random guy told me to use bed 4 but that bed was not made up . Just for one night. Staff was really kind and gave me all the information that i needed. Rooms were clean but so old and weired. Going inside the property and crossing accrooss the hallway and the kitchen there was a piece of wood and newspapers on what i assume was a fixer from the broken floor. The kitchen was full of dishes and when you go to your room it was definitely the okay part but the blanket small like hasn't been washed in a while. The only good point was the quick communication but it didn't matter because the property was definitely not well taken care of. Located on the 5F, you'll want to bear in mind the stairs. However, check-in was smooth, the staff were very friendly and multi-lingual with a family-style run approach to Lux guesthouse. For the price, the sleeping arrangements were great. I stayed in the 6 bed dormitory which had modern beds, plenty of storage and a large modern cabinet to stow away clothes on the hangers and relatively large backpacks and smaller items. The beds were comfortable and you get a full-on blanket which is soft and comfortable like back home. The rooms are well-heated with heated floors in the social area too. The two showers are pressurised well, though if used at the same time temperature and pressure drops so bear this in mind. Overall, it was comfortable with shampoo and toothpaste provided. The self-service kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave and hot water machine for all you need. Internet is important for me and I'm happy to say it has very fast wifi so I could work from the lounge with ease. As I stayed over Christmas, we had a small ji-mek party which was great and found it felt like home including the people. I definitely recommend the place for comforts. It's mid-way between Hongik university station exit 8 and Sinchon exit 8. The quieter side but near all the restaurants and shops of Hongdae so was perfect. A shelf or some hooks, as well as a bathmat to dry your feet outside the door, would make a big difference. Other than that, the guesthouse was fine. A pleasant seating area with outlets, and reasonably comfortable bed.
