It is not a mattress. It is more of a box spring that is supposed to be under the mattress only. It’s hard to sleep. The springs are visible. First off ALL of the staff and manager were AWESOME. They all provided top notch service. We stayed there during Chuseok, so unfortunately we did not try the cafe downstairs. But the ambience was warm and welcoming. I used to live in Seoul and knew what to expect from Korean hotels. Beds are Korean style, which some westerners may find uncomfortable; I did not. The staff called cabs for us and took care of all of our needs. Ice is available at front desk (café). PROS: Cost was great. Staff was exceptional; all spoke good English. Near COEX and Han River exercise path. CONS: No microwave in room, but you do have a hot water kettle for ramen and Maxim (coffee). Super dated, AC worked only on heating mode on a hot day. The area has absolutely no places to eat, except for Starbucks. There was no hot water for my shower, I came back one night to a large millipede scurrying around the entrance to my room, there were cobwebs underneath the table in the room, and the first night we were there, the clerk randomly opened the door to our room while we were getting ready for the night (he was supposedly trying to help another guest in the next room and forgot which room was which, but the fact that he barged in without knocking first really unsettled me).
