Myeongdong is a 15 min walk away, insadong 5 minute walk away, gyeongbokgung palace 15min walk away. Many restaurants and small shops nearby but the street outside could get a bit noisy so I would recommend to bring earplugs. Staff always greeted us when we came in, very friendly, but all signs at the hotel were in Korean so we had a bit of trouble with understanding. Room was big and clean, only the mirror was a bit dirty. Many electrical outlets which is good. You could see into the bathroom from the room which is a bit weird but worked for us. Some reviews say iffy area, but apart from a lot of hotels close by and a dingy looking side street entrance, no negative experiences.
