The room cleanliness should be upgraded further. It is a bit dissapointing that I booked this place at quite a pricey amount but the quality of stay was not that good. :(

Anfitrião simpático. Trata-se de um quarto de pensão já meio velho, com cozinha em uma espécie de ante-sala. O banheiro está bem velho também. Recomendado para quem viaja sozinho e busca diversão noturna, pois está muito próximo da zona boêmia de Itaweon. Não recomendado de jeito nenhum para famílias!

Strategicly located at Itaewon which is well connected to the rest of Seoul by train buses and taxis.Particular appealing to Muslims as it is near many halal food outlets and Seoul Central mosque.Downside is it is located uphill which is connected by a very narrow lane and a set of terraced stairs which can be challenging for a family with heavy luggage.Caretaker Lee is very helpful and polite.

the worst itaewon guesthouse

1) 예약할때 더블침대인데, 2명이 숙박하려면 1인 요금을 추가해야됩니다. 보통 조식추가 때문에 이렇게 요금계산하는 경우가 있는데, 여기는 심지어 "조식"이 없는데도 불구하고 더블침대를 1인기준으로 판매하고 있음. 결제하다보니 1인 추가해야되는 사실이 뒤늦게 나와서 당홨했습니다. 결과적으로 이제까지 이태원에서 숙박해봤던 게스트하우스 중에 제일 비싼 요금에 결제했습니다. 2) 1-2달마다 이태원 게스트하우스를 이용하고 있는데 그 중 가장 요금은 비싸고 조식서비스 없고, 시설은 가장 낡았고, 청결도도 가장 낮았습니다. 욕실에 샴푸, 바디클렌져도 가장 품질이 낮았습니다. 본인거 꼭 챙겨가시기 바랍니다. 여인숙 느낌입니다. 3) 옆방과 방음이 전혀 안됩니다. 아주 얇은 합판 1개로 벽체가 되어있는거 같습니다. 4) 정수기가 없습니다. 게스트하우스가 조식서비스 없는것도 당황스러운데, 정수기 물 한잔도 없는곳은 모든 숙박시설 합쳐서 처음 봤습니다.

지하철이용 교통만 편리한 게스트하우스

교통 편리하고 방이 3개라 공간이 여유로웠고 집주인이 친절하셨습니다. 그러나 오래된 개인주택이고 시설이 낡아서 불편했고 이불에서는 냄새가 나고 개미가 있어 불편했습니다. 화장실은 비교적 깨끗하였으나 주방과 거실 등은 그닥 깨끗하지 않았습니다. 게스트하우스를 찾아가기가 쉽지 않았지만 집주인님이 카톡으로 친절하게 알려주시어 감사했습니다. 이태원 게스트하우스에 숙박을 한다면 자동차는 절대 가지고 가시면 안됩니다. 주차비가 하룻밤에 2만원-2만5천원입니다.

이태원숙소

하루 지내기 나쁘지 않습니다. 욕실이나 객실정돈은 깔끔하나, 수건 청결상태가 아쉬웠습니다. 또한 조식이나 다른 서비스가 없어서 아쉽지만 이태원에서 가장 저렴하게 이용할 수 있는 숙소인만큼 감수하고 하루정도 지내기 나쁘지 않습니다. 위치는 역에서 5분이내 거리이고 번화가가 코앞이지만 골목에 있어 소음걱정은 크게 안하셔도 될 것 같습니다. 주인분은 친절하셨어요!^^

Disappointed in beds & excessive tax/service fee

I have used Bed & Breakfast and Guest Houses around the world. This guesthouse proved to be one of my errors in choices. The location is perfect - close to a subway station and diversity of food and nightlife. After that it was a total disappointment. The reviews indicated the beds were softer than most Korean beds. My bed was hard and you could feel the springs. The bed, towels ad furnishings were low quality. The shared shower could use some bleach. I looked in key facts to see if there was a private or shared shower and I could not find it. I reviewed the pictures and found so many different bathrooms for a private home, I assumed they were private. I failed to notice the final billing stated shared bath. My next error was I focused on good rate posted on the bill rather than the final total. Later I determined that Tax and Service fees were at a rate of 50%. So Cozyplace appears to be recovering their 26% discount offered by adding it back in as a service fee. Hotel tax in Korea is 10% and most hotels only charge 10 to 20% for tax/service. If I would have paid attention to the bill before accepting it, I would have realized I could have gotten a nice 3 star hotel for the same price. I had only booked it for part of my stay; so I moved locations.

もう、２度と使いません❗

イテウォンは３回目でしたが、レジデンスは初めてでした。鍵は鍵穴に入り難い、抜け辛い、トイレは寒い、雨漏りはする、シャワールームの床はぬるぬる、いつ洗ったか分からない茶碗等は籠の中に放置されてる、レンジフードは埃だらけ、シンクの中も蛇口もあらっていない(トイレも)、テーブルと椅子の高さが全く合っていない❗座面が余りに小さく、座り心地が非常に悪い❗タオルも、いつ洗ったか分からなく、埃の匂いがする❗8日間交換無し❗枕は「加齢臭」❗ゴミを片付ける事も、勿論掃除も有りませんでした❗変な虫も出たり、あちこちに埃は勿論、カビも生えてました❗余りにも酷すぎます❗半額でも返金して欲しいです❗

Great place! Highly recommend it!

Exceptional service. The owner was very helpful and accommodating with any questions we had. The place seems like it was once a large older home that has since been sectioned into compartments (2 sleeping rooms, shower/bathroom/washer room, and kitchenette per compartment). I have stayed in plenty of hotels, hostels, couch surfed, over the years, you name it. This place was among the best. I don't usually write reviews but I can highly recommend it. Location is very close (approx. 1 minute) to the main road through Itaewon. Oh yeah and also it has free wifi. Would definitely stay again.
