Seorak Waterpia is an exceptional water park sourced from a set of hot springs. It features a 4-D ride, thermal water saunas and a wave pool among the many fun features and rides. Bring the kids to explore the impressive lightly alkaline pools and exciting rides of this fun and dynamic indoor and outdoor complex. Rush down the twirling slides in total darkness and shoot out into the warm pools. Among the highlights are the Shark Wave pool and the Lazy River ride. Enjoy the excellent views from the pools of the verdant mountains that surround the complex, including the impressive Mount Seorak, sometimes covered in snow. Float in the Rainbow Stream and soak in the warm waters of Spa Valley. Try the various whirlpool tubs for utter relaxation. If you’re feeling brave, attempt the orange-and-blue funnel-shaped slide known as The Maelstrom. Slide down a water chute known as the 4-D Theatre and listen to the sound effects. Relax in the sauna powered by the area’s hot springs that date back to the Jurassic era. Take the little ones to the children’s pool and fountain area. Note that you must wear a swimming cap in the water, which comes from a natural hot spring of alkaline mineral water. It is cooled to a comfortable temperature for most of the pools. Visitors have reported benefits of the hot springs, such as smoother skin. The indoor and outdoor pools open from morning until evening. Other features, such as the Torrent River and 4-D Theatre close earlier. There is a fee to access the park, with discounts for the kids. Note that some amenities have extra fees. The centre has on-site food services. Seorak Waterpia is in the western outskirts of Sokcho in northeastern South Korea. Ride a bus west from the city centre for under 40 minutes to get to this water park. (1,409 reviews) Sejong Hotel has lots to improve. 1) We stayed at a bigger twin room facing Namsan Tower. But what we didn't know is that it's also facing the road hence the traffic can be very noisy. Not for light sleepers. 2) There are daily worker strikes at the lobby and the entrance of hotel. The workers feel their dismissal during Covid was unfair hence they have been on strike to have their jobs back since then. I have to salute on their perseverance but aesthetically, not something you'd like to be welcomed every day. They start their campaign early morning and again, not for the light sleepers. 3) The hotel is located near the airport limo but as we had many times stayed in hotel located within Myeongdong shopping, we find the location a bit of a walk, especially after a day of sightseeing and shopping so choose what's important to you. 4) Room is big and dated. Expect some mold in bathroom. Bed and pillow too soft for comfort and gave us neck and back ache. You can open the window for ventilation but we called for help to do that as we're afraid the window might drop 11 storeys down. Housekeeping not entirely clean. Overall, Sejong Hotel is more like a big overpriced guesthouse. They might do better if they had employed more people.
