Locatie is op loopafstand (1 km) van het international congrescentrum ICC via een prachtig wandelpad langs de rotskust. Er is een kookhoek in de kamer, ik kreeg bij aankomst een voorraadje thee/koffie/cake en instantsoep, en op de hoek is een kleine supermarket die 24/7 open is. Erg praktisch allemaal. De eigenaar Mr Kang was erg behulpzaam met tips, chaufferen, en heeft ook geholpen met het regelen van een huurfiets. They made me banana shake the moment I arrived, gave me free ramen, and face mask as a goodbye present. ^^ I loved that it does not have the typical hotel look and if I ever visit Jeju again I will definitely stay at this hotel. We received a warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Kang, a very friendly and helpful couple who reside in the reception lodge. Mr Kang can communicate quite well in English and can help with recommendations and directions for eating and sightseeing. The room is very clean, tidy and well maintained. One must bear in mind that it's a European style pension so some of the rooms are under slanted roofs. The seaview is relaxing for the eyes from the balcony of the room. Perhaps the only setback is that the shower is open style so we always have to wear slippers (provided) stepping in the bathroom. I must emphasise that the bathroom and the toilet is very clean ... I only find it a little uneasy as most of the floor will become wet after shower. Parking is free. Individual wifi for each room was perfect. Drinking water is generously provided. Basic kitchen utensils are also available in the small open kitchen area. Make plans for breakfast outside if you are not prepared to buy simple groceries and cook inside the room. There is a convenient store just a minute walk from the pension. The Vadada Cafe nearby, as recommended by Mr Kang, is a must go if you wanted a nice coffee, burger and spirits. My overall experience with Sunnyday Jeju was marvellous. It's my type of accommodation for getting away from the city. The hosts were super friendly and there for us (bringing us home-made snacks as gifts, driving us places when we needed it, giving us a free upgrade because it was a bit slow when we were there, the list goes on!). The place is <5m walk to an amazing pork restaurant, the excellent Joanne Bear museum, the very hip and beautiful Vadada lounge, about 5 sushimi places at Daepo Port, and a bus stop for the airport, <10 min walk to a cliff side path and Jusangjeolli cliffs park,<25 min walk to the ICC and to groceries, restaurants, and booze in Jungmun-dong, and <40 min walk to Jungmun Beach and Cheonjeyeon Falls. Take the bus from Jungmun up Mt. Halla, its beautiful. The rooms are beautiful, clean, well-stocked, serene, and have beautiful views. We had five nights in Jeju in mid-June, spent all of them at Sunnyday, and had a beautiful time.
