Lakeside Getaway - Modern Living At The Lake's Edge
Welcome to Lakeside Getaway, a charming and beautifully updated cottage nestled right on the edge of Cayuga Lake. Just minutes from Seneca Falls, this cozy retreat blends modern comfort with the relaxed charm of lake life, offering the perfect escape for couples, families, or friends looking to unwind in the Finger Lakes.
Step inside and you'll immediately feel at home in the bright, open living area, where cathedral ceilings and large windows fill the space with natural light. The comfortable furniture invites you to relax after a day of exploring, and the 57” flat-screen TV is perfect for movie nights or catching the big game.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, oak cabinetry, and Corian countertops, making it easy to prepare meals or snacks to enjoy together. A breakfast bar and adjacent dining table provide plenty of space to gather, while two sets of sliding glass doors open to the large wraparound deck with incredible lake views. Whether you're enjoying morning coffee, dinner under the stars, or simply watching the sunset, this outdoor space is a highlight of the home.
The master bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a king-size bed, ensuite bath, and private deck access for quiet mornings by the water. The second bedroom features a queen bed, and both rooms include room-darkening shades to ensure a restful night's sleep. A queen sleeper sofa in the living area provides additional sleeping space, and a second full bath is conveniently located off the main hallway.
Outside, you'll find everything you need for a perfect lakeside stay. The upper deck overlooks the water and offers comfortable seating and dining space, while stairs lead down to a lower deck and private dock. Take a swim, cast a line, or simply sit back and watch the waves roll in. A boat lift is available for guests bringing a vessel up to 20 feet long, and the gradual slope to the shoreline makes lake access easy for all ages.
Located close to wineries, restaurants, and attractions along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, Lakeside Getaway offers the ideal home base for exploring the region. After a day of adventure, return to your private lakeside cottage, relax on the deck, and let the sounds of the water remind you why you came to the Finger Lakes—to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories.

The house was just what we needed for the 4 of us while out for the Bacon on the Lakein wine trail event. The location was perfect. And being right on the lakefront gave us amazing views to enjoy! We absolutely hope to stay here again in the future.
The property was perfect for a weekend getaway. Right on the lake. Very clean. Perfect amount of space for 2-4 people. And there’s lots within a short drive of you want to bop around for food, shopping, drinking, etc.
We stayed there for 4 days / 3 nights, it was the perfect lake house for us. We came up for my wife’s birthday with some friends and this location is absolutely perfect and awesome to come back to at the end of the day and sit out on the water and have a few drinks. We will definitely book this same house again.
This house had a gorgeous view of the lake. House was clean and easy to find. Close to wineries. Only cons I found was the location was pretty far from restaurants, but that's not a deal breaker to us and the fact that we could not stream any movies or tv shows. Lastly, the beds definitely needed an upgrade. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend this place to anyone needing a little get away. Thank you for being a good host.
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in the lovely lakeside home. We were blessed to have beautiful weather during our week stay and took advantage of the amenities such as the lake access, gas grill and fire pit, and kayak (although another kayak would be ideal!). The view was picturesque and so serene! I would recommend creating a central location for operating various appliances, ie., binder as it would have been helpful. We were never able to get the tv in the bedroom to work). In case of rain, be prepared with ant spray in the kitchen! It was a great week!

The house itself was adequate and well kept. We inky had 2 real issues with the stay. The trash located outaide the frint door had been festering for weeks, the town can was filled to the top and there was little that could be done to solve this issues. Opening windowswindows and to enjoy the lake was not so pleasant. Th3 primary issue was the the property was advertised with a dock and electric boat lift. Neither of these had actually put into the water. Being that fishing was our sole reason for the stay and i hqd trailered my boat 300 miles this was a huge problem. Other than that things were good.
We booked this property in a hurry when another option didn't work out. After we booked it, I read some of the reviews and was a bit concerned. When we arrived, we did have an issue with the front door lock that continued throughout the trip. Once inside, the home was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable (with no bugs). There was a tote with enough supplies for our stay and then some. The view was perfect. I only wish the weather was better, and we could have spent time out on the deck and dock. Even so, we found plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing and zoos. We ate out in the area a few times and made breakfast and some meals at the house. I did have issues and couldn't get the living room TV and cable to work (even with instructions) but had no problem with the one in the bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in the future if traveling in the area.

September 2017 Stay
Our four-week rental started at the end of September and covered most of October. We hated to see it end.
The view from the balcony was great. Sunrises and starry nights over the water were gorgeous. The master bedroom was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing.
We found Lakeside Getaway to be a good fit for two adults, though maybe a little cramped for four. (We shared the home with our daughter and son-in-law the first two weekends.)
The review just ahead of ours was a little surprising. Although the love seat and the bed in the small bedroom were somewhat worn, they were in better shape than some furniture we've come across in 5-star country hotels, both in the US and abroad. The rest of the furniture and the appliances were in great shape.
We thought the price we paid for the rental was reasonable - a good value actually- and look forward to returning as soon as time permits.
Gorgeous lake view, especially during full moon. Roomy kitchen, nice decorations. Very slippery tub and no grab bars. Especially dangerous for people our age.
What a lovely little place. We had 2 adult couples staying in this house and we all loved it. Our Lakeside Getaway had comfy beds, the blackout shades and drapes did their job in the bedrooms, and the window air conditioners kept the home comfortable. We also had the pleasant surprise of a gas-powered fire pit on the deck that was not in the listing. We used the fire pit 3 out of 5 nights and it was lovely to have a glass of wine, listen to birds, watch fish jump, and sit so close to the lake. The only con we had is that the house didn’t have a dishwasher. We got by just fine with washing the dishes by hand, but there wasn’t a drying rack. I would suggest bringing a dish mat to let your dishes dry overnight. Other than that, the house was just wonderful, and we would definitely return.
We brought kayaks and games to this vacation stay and had a great time relaxing. The beds were decently comfortable. Highly suggest bringing rafts to float on and water shoes, as the ground is rocky for swimming. There are also several wineries nearby, the Women's Rights National Park, and stores close in Seneca Falls. There are phenomenal hikes/waterfalls less than an hour away too.
For the price, a few things should be updated / corrected. We love cooking our own healthy meals, but the supplies provided were incredibly lacking. There was one pan that was in such poor shape, we couldn't even use it. The knives were old and dull. There wasn't even a cookie sheet. It also seemed like a dish washer would be in the house as it was included in the "packing list" emailed to bring dishwashing pods, and it was included in the "get started" pack provided by the agency. The sliding glass doors also need to be shut at night or bugs will get in because the screens have tiny holes. They do warn you about that when you check in, however, the best part about being on the lake are the sounds of the waves. It was disappointing to have to cut that off in the evenings. You are also only provided a few items, like 2 toilet paper rolls, 2 trash bags, and one paper towel roll. We've stayed in numerous Airbnb's and other rentals where they provide these items to you for the length of your stay. Again, for the price, I would have expected to have these items provided.
Pros: Great location with off street parking. Swimming location was fantastic with very little seaweed . Close to wineries and casino. House well equipped with towels, kitchen items, and tp.
Cons: house could have been a little cleaner in regards to some dead bugs around window sills, dusty where tvs were, the living room table/bench that had fabric top needed to be vacuumed, and ceiling fan needed a good dusting.
I did call and report to the office that there was no recycling bin and also the primary shower drained slowly..they answered immediately. I opted to not have them correct it while we were there but to do so for the next person. It did drain, just a bit slow. They said they would tend to it
Overall good stay and would come back. Thank you.
The inside of the cottage was wonderful and very clean. All amenities that we required were provided. Could use a few more pots and pans as we cook in a lot. Outside deck was was very nice and scenic, just needed some TLC. There are many bugs outside however a nice lake breeze keeps them away.
Perfect spot, comfortable, warm and cozy. Close to many wineries and great little breakfast/lunch place within walking distance-State Bakery and Smokehouse. Wishing for a two seat Kayak, but beautiful view.
Nice property which is basically on top of the water. House could use some work but a good getaway.
It rained a lot when we were there and it seemed like the ceiling was wet in the living room and there was a spot on the ceiling in the bedroom. Trees could be trimmed to enhance the view. Location is good between Casino/outlets and Ithaca/Hiking.

Beautiful views for our getaway
We came for a quick mother daughter retreat and enjoyed the beauty of the views out the big glass doors that faced the water. The location was central to our purpose of wanting to explore the area. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and sitting area is open for a nice space to enjoy together while cooking or watching a movie. The kitchen supplies provided were sparse but we came prepared so it wasn’t an issue. The house was much smaller than we had envisioned but was adequate for the 6 of us. Overall the house was not very clean but when we spoke to the rental agency, they made it right. Our fall dates did not permit us to have use of the docks or decks. Due to the many windows and older seals around the sliding doors, the house was drafty and would not be a place we’d be warm enough in if temps were colder. It would be lovely in the summer. Overall we were happy with our stay.
This property was in a perfect location close to many wineries, farmers markets, and restaurants. The house was Beautiful and very easy to get to! We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back again!
