Brač is one of the most beautiful Croatian islands. It is known for its stone carvings and has been inhabited by people who have lived in agriculture and fishing since ancient times. Brač is an island of stone; every stone has its own history. My ancestors, known for their hard work in agriculture, produced olives, cherries, and grapes. My family and I decided to continue the tradition with the same enthusiasm. My father had a vision. We renovated the entire property by hand, rebuilding the old ruined houses from the ground up, tidying up the land, and planting olive and fruit trees. Something was still missing, so we brought some friendly animals, sheep, goats, and chickens, to make our place more lively and inviting! Things begin to fall into place. Paradise in untouched nature, away from modern life and external influences. A self-sustaining property where water is collected from rain and electricity is generated by the sun and solar panels. You eat what you plant and grow, preparing it in the best way possible with oak wood and fire. Fresh, clean air surrounded by positive natural energy—who needs anything more? We’re thrilled to invite others to experience this space. Escape the hustle and bustle of city life with us. Everyone is welcome to visit Ranch Visoka. This romantic country house is made of natural stone and built in a traditional style. It features a spectacular panoramic view of the sea and mountains, especially from the private pool, which is beautifully illuminated at night. The property includes an outdoor shower and kitchen with a grill area, all set within a spacious 10,000 m² private estate. \*an additional payment for renting a second house for two persons is possible in May, June, September, and October. The holiday home is easily accessible by car, although part of the route is on a gravel path. Despite its romantic and secluded setting, you won't feel completely isolated. Juraj ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber schon vor Ankunft bis zum Abschied. Wir haben die Ranch, die Insel und das Meer sehr genossen. Die Tatsache, dass die Hauptsaison beendet war, haben wir eher positiv empfunden. Allerdings war dadurch das Restaurant mit regionalen Speisen geschlossen ( das einzige „-“ in unseren Ferien) Entschädigt wurden wir durch frische Eier und leckeres hauseigenes Öl von der Ranch. Wir (Familie, 2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder 2-5 Jahre) haben gerade zwei sehr schöne Wochen in dieser traumhaften Unterkunft verbracht. Das Anwesen ist sehr schön und gepflegt und alles sieht genau so aus wie auf den Bildern abgebildet, oder sogar noch besser. Man hat dort wirklich sehr viel Privatsphäre. Das Anwesen ist einfach riesig und in jeder Ecke gibt es etwas neues zu entdecken. Der Poolbereich ist wunderschön und mit einem wirklich traumhaften Blick auf das Meer. Die Hühner, die den ganzen Tag auf dem Anwesen herumspazierten, gaben dem ganzen noch einen besonderen Charme und waren natürlich vor allem für die Kinder ein echtes Highlight! Die Betreuung durch Juraj war sehr gut. Er war jederzeit für uns erreichbar und alles klappte wie abgesprochen. Wir können die Ranch Visoka uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!! Besonders für Familien mit etwas größeren Kindern, die sich schon sicher auf dem riesigen Gelände bewegen können, ist sie denke ich sehr gut geeignet. Wir wurden von Juraj, dem ebenso freundlichen wie hilfbereiten Vermieter am vereinbarten Treffpunkt in Selca empfangen. Gemeinsam fuhren wir zur weitläufigen und liebevoll gestalteten Ranch, die uns Juraj ausführlich zeigte. Beide Steinhäuser der Ranch waren sehr ordentlich und sauber vorbereitet. Schnell merkten wir, dass "Visoka" auf kroatisch "Anhöhe" bedeutet - von der Ranch aus hat man nämlich einen fantastischen Ausblick über das Meer. Die Aussicht reicht vom kroatischen Festland bis zur Nachbarinsel. Besonders zum Sonnenuntergang liebten wir es, auf der Terasse, die am höchsten Punkt der Ranch gebaut wurde, mit einem Glas kroatischen Rotwein das Farbenspiel des Sonnenuntergangs zu genießen. Morgens ist es empfehlenswert, den ersten Kaffee des Tages an der neben dem Pool aus Steinen gebauten Bar zu genießen und den Blick dabei über das Meer schweifen zu lassen, über dem sich langsam der Nebel der vergangenen Nacht lichtet. Auf der Ranch kann man wirklich noch einen einsamen Urlaub ohne jegliche Nachbarn oder andere Touristen verbringen. Trotzdem sind es nur wenige Fahrminuten zum Meer oder in das idyllische Städchen Sumartin, wo eingekauft werden kann. Unser perönliches Highlight war an dem Tag, als Jurajs jügerer Bruder frische Fische im Meer gefangen hatte, die Juraj für uns in der Summerkitchen, die sich auch auf dem Gelände der Ranch befindet, mit selbst hergestelltem Olivenöl und frischem Rosmarin auf dem Grill zubereitete. Gegrillt wurde mit Holz von der Schwarzeiche. Wir haben selten so ausgezeichnet schmeckenden Fisch gegessen. 100% Wiederholungsgefahr! Möge die Idylle der Ranch lange erhalten bleiben! Lovely and clean with everything you need. Tastefully furnished and comfortable. Outside is heaven with different sitting areas. The pool area fantastic. Barbecue area absolutely superb with a barbecue and very effective outside lighting. Noch schöner, als wir nach der Beschreibung erwartet haben. Alles war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Juraj fragte regelmäßig, ob alles OK ist, so dass kleine Wünsche sofort geäußert werden konnten und umgehend erfüllt wurden. Die Kommunikation klappte prima. Ich bekam stets umgehend Antwort. Wir trafen uns pünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt. Der Vermieter war immer da, wenn man ihn brauchte und dabei so unaufdringlich, dass man nie das Gefühl hatte, nicht unter sich zu sein. Wir würden das Domizil unbedingt und uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Die Insel ist überall wundervoll und vor Allem - obwohl wir in den großen Ferien da waren - nicht überlaufen!
