About this property

Designed and renovated villa with mountain views

  • This stone villa, with walls up to 80 cm thick, has stood in the Pisueña Valley for a century. From the outside, it appears intact: a gabled roof, dry-stone construction, sitting directly on the meadow. Inside, it meets the EnerPHit certification, the most rigorous standard for renovated buildings.

The ground floor, formerly a stable, is now an open-concept space comprising a kitchen, dining room, and living room, opening onto the landscape through carefully placed windows. On the upper floor, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are paneled in oak. The main furniture—dining table, coffee table, and side tables—was crafted from the original oak beams.

The outdoor patio was cleared of overgrown vegetation and paved with the stable’s original flagstones, some still bearing the grooves of wear. It serves as a direct extension of the living room. The house sits on a private 20,000 m² estate, so you’ll have the meadow and the landscape all to yourselves.

The three Pasiegos Valleys—Pisueña, Miera, and Pas—offer hiking trails through beech forests, past waterfalls, and across meadows. The Cantabrian coast, with its wild beaches and cliffs, is about 40 minutes away. Within 10 minutes, you’ll find villages with markets and traditional restaurants. The area is home to the Altamira cave paintings, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
