The rroms are sound proof and big. The beds are very comfy. The restaurant allows you to have a breakfast with a view. Our room was dated and the bathroom, although clean, had stained and crumbling grout in the shower. It was also a shower in a bath so a bit awkward to get in and out and also a bit slippery. The view from our room was spectacular and the balcony was a lovely addition. The only real negatives were the temperature in the room which was so hot neither of us could sleep. When we asked about AC, we were told it was off and to open the windows to prevent the heating coming on. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. It is located in a beautiful where you have a fantastic view of the city we were given handicap Rome that appears to be quite small and there was now shower curtains, so there was water all over I should have decline that room and get a regular room. We were less than enchanted with the service we received at the restaurant at our evening meal . The drinks we ordered whilst we were perusing the menu never appeared, likewise the bottle of wine. When we were finally able to bring this to the waiters attention our main courses had almost finished. The bottle of wine duly appeared on the bill. Next night with a change of mainly female staff things were a lot better, like a normal restaurant. Why did we go the second night? the hotel is some distance from the bars and restaurants of Segovia and luckily it was a better experience.
