"Our stay was short but we were very impressed with both the staff and our room. The staff were very helpful and accommodating getting us in our room early as we had a wedding to attend. The room was clean and tidy. We would definitely book with them again"
"All the staff we lovely. We were there Thursday - Monday. I only asked once to have the room cleaned. My only complaint was floors weren’t washed or vacuumed and we had to request toilet paper as it was empty. It is in a great location and parking is easy."
"LOVED our stay at the Oceanside Hotel. We got a ground suite facing the ocean and we were able to watch the sunset from our patio in the adirondack chairs.
Room was spacious with a mini kitchenette, 2 king beds (in their own rooms), and a little living area. Rooms were also clean and the beds were super comfy. The shower was the best hotel shower i’ve ever had. Bathroom is freshly renovated.
Staff were super friendly and the location can’t be beat! It’s waterfront (minus the street). If you can, get an ocean view so you can watch the sunset."
"This property was absolutely amazing. We wanted the ability to be out of the city and enjoy the nature while also being able to experience some amenities and then some. Cannot say enough great things about the hosts: kind, considerate and very welcoming. Would rate this 6 stars if I could"
"Such a wonderful place. It’s much larger than it looks in pictures. The stairs leading to the unit were a concern because our dog is injured and cannot use stairs. But Dhebora and Renee were very responsive, sent us additional pictures and even measurements of the stairs.
We will definitely be back!"
"First off, would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location and views are stellar. The layout of the place and management were also great and because it's at the end of the road, zero traffic noise. Perfectly serene. I think this inn was probably the belle of the ball a decade ago. Today, however, the lifejackets & parasols are moldy and the woodwork everywhere could use some stain. Carpets in the rooms are also filthy. My mother would have walked right out and not returned. Slap on some slippers and it's not a deal breaker in my eyes, though. I think if ownership would just invest in renovating those few items, this place would instantly return to its former glory. That said, still today, the location and views are a 10 out of 10. Paddle boarding out to frolick with the seal family in the bay is a bucket list item for nature lovers. Definitely recommend for folks who are not too fussy about immaculate cleanliness. I personally would love to come back."
Driftwood Beach House-Horizon Suite: Oceanfront Luxury on the Sunshine Coast
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay. The view was amazing, the kitchen was the best stocked & most organized I’ve ever experienced at a short term stay, the beds were comfy, and bathrooms were great. The ants in the kitchen were a tad annoying, but not too awful. The hill is quite steep, and driving in reverse up or down was scary for some of our drivers. Also, we had brought our kayaks hoping to kayak directly from the house, but that wasn’t possible due to us feeling unsafe carrying them down the extremely steep hill and over the huge driftwood. That was our only disappointment."
