Hotel survives by name only

Posted 26-May-2016
Unfortunately the location is poor even though it is in downtown the crime is abhorrent and located next to the Olympian it is not even a comparison. The staff is very friendly however being downtown it can be noisy. The restaurant trace does have good food at a steep price and you can cheat me on the price but not the quality. The beds were okay and the rooms were clean.

For the price: B+

Pros: Nice rooms; very comfortable beds.
Cons: No one trusts glass drinking glasses in rooms anymore. And there were no sealed disposables.
The staff was pleasant and competent. However I didn't like the smell of paint in the halls (makes me nauseous), restaurant service was slow, and I was double-charged post-checkout. It wasn't much money (incidentals) but it took my time to straighten it out, then the contact email address in the email bounced. For the money, I expected better.

Alles war unseren Anspruechen gerecht, eben ein typisch amerikanisches Hotel. Die Zimmer praktisch eingerichtet - sehr sauber und angenehm

an OK hotel

Posted 26-Apr-2016
Pros: the lobby was beautifully designed.
Cons: the hotel staff can be more friendlier and caring.
Location: the location is okay. it's close to the pike market but still far away from the space needle.
- The room was spacious (with $20 upgrade) but definitely not worth the price. - The location was okay. close to the pike market but far from space needle. - The front desk staff was just friendly enough to be at the front desk (having basic manners)...but i couldn't feel being welcomed. In addition, when I called in a few days later to check if they found an item I left behind, I received an immediate response "no" without any further investigation. They were either extremely confident about what they have in the lost and found or just didn't care to check it for me. Definitely will NOT go back.

Good location downtown

Pros: Very spacious room
I booked two corner rooms at a great rate and they were great. The hotel is an easy walk to Pike Place Market and most retail locations.

Over the W

Posted 18-Apr-2016
Stayed here many times over the years but haven't been in a few years. You could start with the $61.05 overnight parking fee which is $10-$20 more then almost all hotels DT. They recently updated the rooms and they just feel cheap! The room door stuck so bad you could hardly open or close it so when you did it made a huge noise. They also did away with coffee in the rooms. I usually never stay in a hotel with no coffee in the rooms but I never checked because they had it before. Anyway won't be coming back to the W so many other better options within a block or two that you should skip it!

Remodeled with emphasis on edgy not practicality. Apparently the designer doesn't realize guests travel with luggage that needs useable space to be accessed.

Loved it!

Hotel staff was very helpful! Hotel was really clean and newly updated! Love the W. Only downfall is paying $60.00 a night for parking.

My second visit to The W Seattle.

Posted 16-Mar-2016
Pros: Location and ambience
Cons: Maybe a broader selection of food on the menu
Location: It is very close to shopping, the market, most everything to see is within walking distance by a few blocks.
Nothing but good things to say. Clean, luxurious rooms, friendly staff, perfect location.
