Cozy & Comfy, 1 Blk to Beach & 2 Blks to Promenade, Hot Tub, Firepit, BBQ

Our beach cottage offers the best of both worlds: Quiet north-end neighborhood and very close to Seaside's beautiful beach and famous Promenade! You can walk and/or bike anywhere in town from here.

The Cottage has beautiful coastal images throughout. A comfortable over sized sofa (works great to sleep on), over sized love seat, one chair and two rocker/recliners sit in the living room, which also boasts an electric fireplace & large flat-screen TV. Excellent WiFi throughout. The small dining table seats 8, and the kitchen is fully stocked. All beds have comfortable & (new 2023) mattresses, 2" memory foam toppers, linens and extra blankets, plus an additional sleeping area in Family Room with a queen Murphy Bed with 6" Memory foam mattress, a twin leather sofa/ hide-a-bed, and two sleeping pads to comfortably sleep up to 9. Laundry room, games, puzzles, books and movies are available for guest use. The family room has a small leather couch, two comfortable chairs, large flat screen TV/DVD, electric fireplace, ping pong table, magnetic dartboard, and a folding game table with felt cover.

Supplies includes clam guns for those special low tides as well as crabbing gear and an outdoor crab cooker. Our Cottage is three blocks to the easiest spot to crab- the 12th Avenue bridge. Just drop your pots, go back to the house to relax and walk back a few hours later for your dinner! (License is required for both crabbing and clamming.) There is also a Weber outdoor grill and personal outdoor fire pit in the private fully fenced front yard. Firewood supplied! There is even a playhouse for the kids! There are beach chairs, a beach blanket for the sand to keep you comfortable on the beach, and plastic sand toys for kids stored in the shed.

Everyone loves the beach in the sunshine, but on those rainy days, there is no lack of attractions. In addition to amenities/activities at the Cottage, the City of Seaside offers the Aquarium, galleries, arcade games, an outlet mall, a movie theater, a recreation center with two heated indoor pools and a beautiful library with puppet theater for your kids. The Convention Center has various activities throughout the year. Nearby Astoria and Cannon Beach have lots to offer as well.

Great Girls Trip

This beach house was perfect for a long awaited girls trip. The house was easy to find, clean and great amenities like the hot tub and fire pit. Easy walk to the beach (even with my broken toe.) The owner was fantastic! Easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

Our family loved our stay here! The owners are very thoughtful and the property is very well appointed. We caught our limit of razor clams at the adjacent beach one day, and caught two keeper crabs off the nearby bridge another day, so our dinners were fresh, local, and delicious!

Wonderful place

My friends came from other states for a girls week. We are all seniors, and we had a wonderful time. The cottage was exactly as described and more. Convenient to everything. Perfect place to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Long weekend in Seaside

Property was as advertised. Lots of space with the extra living area. Outside area with fire pit and hot tub were awesome! Quick walk to the beach and easy access to the boardwalk to walk down to Broadway in Seaside.

Recreation and relaxation

We enjoyed the location feeling private and quiet while still being just off the end of the promenade with easy beach access. The cottage had wonderful accommodations and plenty of extras like books, games and outdoor gear. It is tidy and well kept-a real treat!!

Great vacation

We had a wonderful time. Everything was great. Show up and have a good time! Hot tub, camp fires, short walk to the beach. Well stocked with everything you need. Owners were great and easy to contact, quick to respond.

We ❤️ this cottage!!!

We stay here every year for Portland to Coast! It has plenty of room, close to the Prom and has a hot tub which is so amazing for our aching bodies after the relay! Kathy is amazing to work with. She is so kind and helpful. We’ll be back next year!

Loved the Cottage by the Sea!!

My 3 girl friends and I stayed for a glorious girls weekend away. All the amenities of home and more. We would absolutely stay again. The beds were so comfy and the towels were cozy. We enjoyed the beach being steps away. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Spring Break Oregon Coast

Seaside was enjoyable, as much as you wanted to do. The house's amenities were cozy and fun when the spring rain, hail and thunder rolled through! We appreciated the well appointed home, so many basic supplies really help the week to smoothly go by.

Loved Cottage by the Sea

Cute cottage, so close to the water. Very close to downtown Seaside. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after our excursions. Has great amenities and loved being able to wash our clothes, wished i packed lighter! 100% recommend. Great communication with host. Thank you again for sharing your home with us.

Great family house and close to the beach!

Everything was just as described and Kathy was a super communicator! We had to change our dates and she was very accomodating and responsive to my messages. The house is just a couple of blocks from the beach and a block from the promenade. Loved having the hot tub and ping pong table! We'd definetly stay here again!

This place is magic

We got this house for a sister gathering for a long weekend. There was enough room for everyone and we love to cook and this kitchen is one of the better stocked places I’ve stayed at. The space is really comfortable and Kathy and Wayne were fabulous communicators and I can’t say enough good about this place. We are returning guests and we would definitely recommend staying here. You will love it!

Best Beach Cottage!

We have stayed at this cottage for the last few years and it is always the best! The location is perfect! Close to the beach and the downtown area. The hot tub is wonderful after walking the Portland to Coast relay. Beds are super comfy. The house is always clean. I love receiving the gifts of coffee and wine. Thank you so much for another great weekend!

Fantastic beach house

We loved this wonderful beach house in Seaside! Seaside is a fantastic location, 15 or so minutes from Cannon, Ecola and Indian Beach (our favorite visit at sunset!), but just off the busy “prom” beach trail so lots of privacy and seclusion. Walkable (I highly recommend bringing bikes/e-bikes), it’s about two football-fields walk from the golden sand and gorgeous water and all the sand dollars you can carry! The house itself was perfect for us and our 3 kids - tons of room to spread out, big tv and ping pong in “rec room” allowed us to watch our own movie in the family room every night. All in all perfect, will definitely go back!

Daughter's 50th Birthday

This is a cozy, well stocked beach rental that is just as comfortable as being at home. It has so many fun amenities some of which are the hot tub, smores and hot dogs at the fire pit, table tennis and multiple games. I have never stayed anyplace that provided crabbing and clamming equipment. Plus you are a block from the beach and 2 blocks to the Turnaround. We enjoyed going on the bumper cars as a group. What FUN!! We will definitely return!!

Lovely

We came all the way from NY to spend some time with family who have recently moved to OR. The house is the perfect size, there was plenty of room for all, and 2 bathrooms. We had a 9 year old and 3 year old and they had a blast playing with all the toys in the family room. The beds were comfortable and the house clean and well stocked. 3 min walk down the road and you are on rhe dunes already. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. The town of Seaside is an easy walk or drive and has tons for the kids to do, and lots of restaurant choices. We had a great time here!

Perfect family beach house!

I’ve been coming the Seaside since I was a kid and this was my favorite vacation rental to date. Kathy has thought of everything. The outdoor space was a huge hit with our daughters. They adored the playhouse, loved making smores in the fire pit and looked forward to our evening hot tub soaks. The inside was clean and cozy. We enjoyed movie and game nights almost every night. Beds were comfy too. The short walk to the beach was great. We loved being close the blue mat for easy and quick access to the beach with our small kids. Kathy was very responsive and kind with all our questions and needs. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Making Family Memories!

This HOME was perfect for us! It was incredibly CLEAN, well organized, extremely cozy and so much fun for the kids! My brothers family came to spend time with us from Louisville, KY. This was the first time the kids got to see the Pacific Ocean! And …. They went in!!! We had hot tub time, made s’mores and simply ENJOYED! Thank you so much for this time @ your HOME! Multi generational gathering

Host has thought of EVERYTHING and then some. She has maximized space to the fullest inside and out. There are multiple gathering places both inside and out which made it very easy with multi-generations, different sleep schedules, noise levels and entertainment options. Great games and book selections, a kitchen better stocked than mine at home! Silly me brought my instapot! She even remembered we were celebrating birthdays and left balloons for our arrival. Nice welcome basket. Well placed handrails throughout the home, porch and hot tub. Enclosed front yard with a playhouse and toys . This place lacks for NOTHING, very warm and welcoming.

Seaside gem!!!!!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The Cottage by the Sea is absolutely charming and Kathy and Wayne are wonderful hosts. The house is totally stocked and repeatedly we would say, “ I bet Kathy has it”, if we were missing anything and she did!!! It was perfect for our family of three (including a teenager) and my mom. We were also joined by another family friend and her teenaged daughter for part of the trip. More than enough room for all of us! The beds were super comfy and we enjoyed cooking together most evenings. The outdoor space is like an outdoor living room and we took full advantage of it as the weather was perfect! (The hot tub is a great perk!!!) The beach is just a short walk as is the promenade which is so convenient. We absolutely loved our time at the Cottage by the Sea and can’t wait to go back soon!
