"This was a great place to stay on the quiet side of the island. Had a great view of the water, but no direct access to water was a bummer. The house was generally clean but lacked details I'd expect for a 5 star review."

"The property was perfect for our family of four visiting Acadia National Park. Close proximity to everything on MDI. Being able to access the quiet side trails and destinations so quickly like seawall, wonderland, long pond, shops harbor, bass harbor light was fantastic. We really enjoyed southwest harbor and bar harbor was not far. The host was wonderful and very responsive. The home had everything we needed for the week, including a fully stocked kitchen, gas grill, and washing machine. The air conditioning worked well when needed. The property felt private. We were sad to leave at the end of a great week."

"The cabin is a such a gem! Located on the quiet side of Acadia but close to restaurants. Our family really enjoyed having the outside patio in evenings to sit around the fire pit. The screened in porch for morning coffee was the perfect start to our days. Robert was great a communication. He had great recommendations about hikes nearby and places to eat!"

"Absolutely awesome house, pond and setting — the cottage was amazing and had everything one could possibly need or want. The views from the boathouse were beautiful, the weather was phenomenal and the surroundings were so peaceful and quiet. The sounds of nature, the breezes off of the pond and the beauty of the scenery made returning from day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia inviting and relaxing. We hated to leave and would go back to the boathouse tomorrow!!"

"My family of 11 stayed five nights in this house. It was a wonderful wonderful time. It was close to everything. We spent a lot of time at Acadia. We were at the ocean. We went to many of the restaurants. We did lots of hiking and everything was very accessible. The house was great. It was so quiet at night and we had gorgeous weather. I give it a five star recommendation."

"Property was definitely on the quiet side like advertised. Very peaceful. Liked the layout of the house. 25 minute ride to Acadia attractions which was wonderful. We found many places to eat close by that were delicious! House had a few cobwebs which were a little unsettling."

"The property was wonderful. We had a campfire…so much fun. The house was well equipped and Michelle got back to me when I had questions. The jetted tub was a huge hit with my grandkids. We knew ahead of time that the pool was set at 82 degrees. My family would have used it more if the water was warmer. We would have been willing to pay more for a warmer pool. We were very happy with this rental! Thanks Michelle!!!"
Acadia’s "Quiet Side" Retreat – Sunny 3BR/2BA w/ Private Deck & Fire Pit!

"We had a wonderful stay! The home had everything we needed for our family of 6. It was so clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location worked well for our family to explore the whole island. Having Southwest Harbor so close was very convenient for food, coffee and ice cream! We loved the hikes at Ship Harbor Trail and Wonderland and did a Lobster and Nature Boat Tour out of Bass Harbor that was a real highlight. Long Pond was perfect to cool off with a quick dip a couple times during our stay and we rented kayaks one evening to paddle around. It was also easy to get to the other side of the island and Bar Harbor, which we did every day. The hosts were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We didn't hear them or see them throughout our stay. Acadia was beautiful; we'll be back again!"
