"This is a quaint b&b-style hotel in a charming town. The room was comfortable and sufficient. There's no fridge or kettle in the room, but there's a Keurig downstairs and baked goods from the bakery next door. There was a pub across the street, and we thought the festivities might keep us up, but everyone turned in early and it wasn't an issue. Overall, a very pleasant stay."

"We absolutely loved our stay on Smith island in this adorable cottage. Laura the host was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Being first timers to the island, I had several questions that were answered very quickly. The cottage was clean, well stocked (which is important for this type of unique experience) and decorated very cute. The local people were very friendly and we enjoyed the scenery of the island. We will definitely be back!"

"Perfect in every way. You won’t get a warmer welcome anywhere and the hotel is so full of character and comfort. Beautiful spot to relax, take in the beautiful scenery, watch ospreys, go to the beach, kayak, visit vineyards … or just take a book and sit on the deck!"

"This motel looked like it had recently been renovated. The rooms were very clean and the staff was efficient and courteous. The air conditioning was also quiet. Easy drive to Chincoteague. "

"Beautiful cabin situated at the back of a farm, very peaceful. Very spacious and inviting. Only a half hour to Chincoteague and an hour to Ocean City. Nice porch with a swing and 2 chairs to sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee (coffee maker provided). We loved having a pool table for our evening entertainment. Only thing we didn't like was the very tiny kitchen, absolutely no counter space at all :( "

"John is an excellent host, very helpful and considerate. The cottage is well appointed, very clean and neat and is located on a little piece of paradise overlooking them a marsh on the edge of the Bay. It's quiet, peaceful, and we even greeted by a small family of deer as we returned in the evenings. No need to pick up paper goods, ziplocks, or plastic food storage containers because everything is right there, including a new Weber gas grill on the back porch as well as chairs to relax in and a patio table and chairs.The beds and pillows were very comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great! Big, fluffy towels and washing machine and dryer.It's a short drive over to Chincoteague but it's an easy trip through the countryside and we were able to leave the crowd on the Island each day and sleep peacefully at the cottage at night. John hooked us up with a wonderful local boat captain, C.L. Marshall, a knowledgable local with a passion for the community and life, and we enjoyed a trip to Tangier and to Smith Island where we ate fresh crab cake sandwiches and the famous Smith Island Cake of Maryland, for lunch in Tylertown at the Drum Point Mkt. We were able to book CL, Friday to watch the Pony Swim back to Assateague Island, because we got lucky and his group had an emergency and had to cancel. I can't thank John enough for his hospitality and guidance during our stay! 5Star Top Shelf host!!"
