The hotel is difficult to find, the entrance is on the back street. Fire alarm went off at 4am and they made the announcement for false alarm 10-15 minutes later in every room and woke up everybody. No explanation was given on what had happened in the morning.

Smithe House was a very clean and very quiet establishment. We had no issues during our stay, and the location is excellent. Help is always a text message away. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to have a washer and dryer, and a kitchenette in the room. We would definitely stay here again.

"Oh, this place is worth it. It's connected right to the Vancouver airport (YVR) departures terminal. The entrance is an elegant 2nd-floor walkway above the departures section.
