Offering 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths. Main Level: This lavishly furnished home offers hardwood floors throughout. The great room boast a floor to ceiling stone fireplace w/ gas logs, large Smart TV with surround sound & Blueray DVD player. Enjoy the natural light and mountain views from the multiple windows and French door sets. Dining for 10 is open to the custom kitchen with stainless appliances, wine cooler, dishwasher, gas cook top, ice maker, kitchen aide oven, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and toaster oven. The main level features a Master Suite with a queen bedroom set, bath with double sink, shower and vanity. Upper Level: Opens to a loft overlooking the great room, it features a desk area perfect for working. Upstairs also incudes a full bathroom. Second bedroom with 2 twin beds and the third bedroom with a queen bed are also located on the upper level. Lower Level: Spacious gameroom offering seating area with sleeper sofa, Smart TV with Satellite, DVD/VCR player, large game table for cards & board games, foosball table. 4th bedroom with queen bed. 5th bedroom with full bed. Full bath on this level. Walk out to the lower patio. Outside enjoy the mountain views from the open deck with picnic tables or covered deck with seating. Step out through the yard and enjoy the custom outdoor fireplace and wood burning fire pit. Firewood gladly provided. Walk down the path to a private pond on the property. Head back down to the community entrance and enjoy community river access at the gazebo OR at the entrance of the community at Kings Creek State Park river access with bath house. We saw multiple deer on the property and enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit area which was a perfect size for our group. The house could use a deep cleaning as it appeared clean upon our arrival but once we settled in we noticed the kitchen cabinets were very dirty and the sofa area was as well. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook or bake (except the food of course). One thing to note the main living room only has space for 5 people to sit so if it’s a rainy day and you have multiple people in the house (as we did) you cannot all be in the same room comfortably. Entrance to the house is also precarious as there is no sidewalk to enter, only mulch with some flag stones that are easy to trip on. I mention this in case you have older adults in your party as we did. The stones move easily and my elderly parents tripped multiple times especially walking into the house at night when it is very dark. The basement area has a foosball table which we enjoyed but the area feels cramped with one sofa, a recliner and a picnic table. Linens and towels were not in the best condition and should all be replaced. Overall this is a nice property with room for improvements, proximity to the river is good and the area is lovely. ##### Monica H. It’s a nice cabin, but it does have a lot and I mean a lot of stuffed animals on the walls most cabins up there that I’ve seen that all have at least one or two deer but that basement there’s not an empty space on the wall between animals and other displays. The walkway to get into the front door is very difficult for older people. A lot of these sheets are stained, but everything was clean. ##### young m. The outdoor fireplace pit and fireplace was a perfect gathering in the evening. Improvement could be made as far as a view. Not like pictures. Outside was the best part, fireplace and firepit. Deck seating was great. Not the cleanest place. Old creaky spring beds. Linens were awful, stained with holes. Not enough towels (1 small, old towel per person and 1 kitchen towel for 4 days). My invoice showed a charge for linen service. See if they will take it off and bring your own. You have to make all the beds anyway. Beds looked like they were made. When everyone went to bed, you could hear everyone say "You gotta be kidding" as they pulled back the covers to get in. A truly breathtaking view on top of the mountain - short distance away from the river and West Jefferson. But not such a short distance away from skiing.... The cabin was eccentric and beautiful. This house is a hidden gem in the High Country. There’s so many unique features and decor in the house that add greatly to the property. The outdoor fire pit is amazing and great for large groups. It’s within a reasonable drive to numerous parks and trails. The amenities and decor were great. Even though we had to deal with some rain, there was ample room on the covered rear deck to hang out and enjoy the view. We spent a lot of time around the awesome firepit area. The kitchen was well-stocked and the main floor living/dining area accommodated all 10 of us easily. The steps to upstairs, downstairs and to firepit were a challenge for some of my siblings (suffering from arthritic joints and one currently in remission from stage 4 lung cancer). My brothers-in-law were disappointed in their inability to "catch and release" in the pond on the property. Not only did it appear to contain no fish, there was also a message on the kitchen counter denying access to the pond except to owners and their family members. That was a great disappointment to my brothers, who live to fish wherever they vacation. There seems to have been a dampness issue in lower level because the sofa on that level had a layer of mold/mildew, white in appearance, between bottom of sofa seat cushion and frame of sofa along the front edge (also appearance of mold or mildew on at least one specimen of taxidermy on that same level). Additionally, it seemed as if both beds on that lower level were full beds (a difficult transition for one sister who is used to a king size bed). All in all, we had a wonderful weekend. The house and amenities were adequate in most every way. We would certainly recommend this property to others. We especially admired the lovely metal art (made of silverware), particularly the solar lighted ones in the backyard. We enjoyed watching them come on each evening. Our stay in NC was beautiful. ##### Roger O. The firepit was a great place to hang out, and the proximity to the river outfitters was ideal for a day of tubing. Being perched up on the hill gives you some space and a great view! ##### Jasper W. The cabin was very nice yes spacious and kitchen well equipped but very dirty. Housekeeping was the worst I’ve seen, just wiped the obvious (counter tops, tables) but a lot of items in the cabin were dusty you could tell items were not picked up to wipe but just wiped around the items, also floor very dirty. The worst part, dirty sheets and pillow cases, the bedroom I stayed on had hairs and yellow stains on the white pillow cases. The rental company just said they would address the issue with housekeeping..?? I’m definitely making sure not to rent again from the company that manages this cabin. ##### Jhovanna L.
