Superior Reflections Cabin #2 on Lake Superior

Looking for a place to unplug (NO WIFI), relax and recharge? Superior Reflections Cabin # 2 is the place for you, right on the shore of Lake Superior. Whether you’re enjoying coffee overlooking the lake, a glass of wine on the deck as kayakers glide past or watching the sea gulls in the afternoon, there’s nothing more relaxing. This is a 1 bed, 1 bath cabin with a full bed and small kitchen with basic necessities. There’s dining table with chairs and 2 comfortable chairs for relaxing. Outside there’s a deck with a table and chairs, along with a charcoal grill.

The steps take you down to the cobblestone beach where you can search for agates or read a book. An evening campfire on the shore gazing at the stars is the perfect way to end the day. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 3 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods.

Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza.

This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.

We provide towels, linens and soaps. Please bring your personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner).

The location of this cabin was the best! So close to the lake, and the access to the lake was so easy! Only suggestion would be to have a hair dryer available!

We loved staying in this cozy cabin on Lake Superior. We spent a lot of time looking out at the lake from inside and outside of the cabin. It’s a beautiful location. The cabin was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. We would definitely return.

Early Season getaway

A touch cool but we expected that. Close to many parks and walking and hiking paths. Great small cabin with all the basics. We relaxed so much that we rarely left over the course of our 3 night stay. The firm bed made me a touch restless but with any home away from home there are always a few adjustments.

Great experience at Superior Reflections

We absolutely loved this clean, cozy cabin on the lake. The setting was so peaceful. We especially loved all the windows with screens that easily opened to let in the lake breeze. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Soothing

We loved the cabin. It was small, modest, but thoughtfully maintained, comfortable, and close to the water. We enjoyed hikes, ebike ride, and delicious meals both out and in. We prob could have used one more night, we stayed 3 nights. Schroeder is a very convenient location for up and down the shore.

Lovely view of Laker Superior!

I had a magical three night stay with the sound of waves soothing me to sleep. The cabin is clean and comfortable and it’s easy to walk down a few steps on a railed staircase to the beach. Or you can sit on the deck and see the lake from there.

Peaceful Place

A week on the North Shore to bask in the beauty of God’s spectacular creation and celebrate a birthday. Superior Reflections 2 provided the perfect peaceful place to do so. The owners are attentive to the small details and respond quickly to any inquiry. This was our second stay here. We are looking forward to the next.

Amazing location highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The cabin is feet from the shore and off the main highway a ways. We loved listening to the waves splash on the rocks and making a fire on the beach at night. We went fishing twice with the local guide Darren from Tofte Charters and caught limits of Lake Trout both times. Mike and Barb were a pleasure and do a great job. Highly recommend!

Our visit to Superior Reflections was exactly what we wanted to rest and recharge. We usually go out for daytime activities in the area, but this year we never left the cabin. Spectacular location on the lake!!

Northwoods Paradise

Beautiful, just as described. Clean and well stocked. So restful and relaxing. Only one negative. Bed is extremely hard. View would be even better without the weed trees blocking some of the view.

NorthShore Fall Colors

In a word: Amazing! I can’t say enough about this little piece of heaven. Right on the shore of Lake Superior. We loved listening to the waves splashing against the beach, a cool night fire in the moonlight and the abundant fresh air. It’s a great location for exploring the North Shore! It's Still a Little Slice of Heaven

This was our third visit to this cabin on the water. We could not love this place more. This year we had a new bed and deck which made our stay even more comfortable. We would love to see a blow dryer so we don't have to bring one along. It would be nice to have a few more knives in the kitchen. We cooked the entire time we were there. Tofte General Store has fresh trout and white fish that was delicious. You won't regret staying here. Thank you for sharing this home. See you next year.

Relaxing view of Lake Superior

We enjoyed our stay at Superior Reflections. The cabin was very clean and the view of the lake was spectacular. The only thing we were not satisfied with was the quality of the bed. The mattress was very hard and was not comfortable for us. This could be improved by adding a soft foam cover to make the bed more flexible. We have one at home and it does make a difference.
