Close to dozens of hiking trails and waterfalls. Gorgeous new Pavilion with Rock Fireplace, 2 swings and deck overlooking the Chattahoochee river- fishing, kayaking, or tubing down the river. Site of Lifetime's 2019 Christmas movie- Christmas Love Letter. Master Bath remodel and expansion of master bedroom completed 3/26\. Recently added sun room with wood burning stove with scenic views of Chattahoochee river and deer and wild turkey on lower plateau. For golfers- Par 3 hole to come at a future date (Flagstick and cup now installed). Only a half mile down a scenic gravel road, lined with a barn, a log cabin, and three mountain homes, you will venture into a hidden mixture of lake views, major sized water wheel, mountain views and finally magnificent unparalleled views of the Chattahoochee River from what is best described as a luxurious mountain cabin. From wrap around covered porches which include a screened in areas, to the open kitchen w/marble bar and seating area, the ultimate in convenience is available for your use with a state of the art kitchen with all Stainless Steel appliances. Enjoy the views of the lower plateau and river from the sun room with your coffee after breakfast or dinner and listen to the sounds of the falling water from the river. or walk down to the small rustic sandy beach area for swimming or tubing' in the 'Hooch'. You will not run out of ways to sit back and relax. Take one of 2 walking routes and spend some time at the new outdoor pavilion by the river, with the deck jutting out over the river with chairs and table to enjoy. Easy access to the river and small beach area. Spend quiet time in the sun room with great views of the river and lower plateau and build a fire in the wood burning stove. Or enjoy time in the spacious family room and build a fire in the wood burning fireplace. Or weather permitting, enjoy time around one of the 2 outdoor fire pits for some marshmellow, hot dog roasting, smores treats. There is no shortage of outdoor activities available nearby in the area including horseback riding, hiking, golf, biking, fishing and more. The outdoor shower with hot water should not be missed. The Alpine Village , Helen is 15 minutes away with numerous restaurants and attractions. Also, the Uhuburg castle, just outside Helen, just opened to public in May 2023 (see photos) Many Vineyards and Wineries are with 5 miles and some have live music as well as tasting tours. A hot tub with surrounding deck overlooking the river is ready for your enjoyment year round. Direct TV system streaming is available in all rooms with HD DVR included. Hi speed Internet access is available. We recently added a new Air Fryer to our well stocked kitchen. All virus protocols are being observed. We did go to Helen one day...it was a dud. We never even turned a TV on. The kitchen is large and very well equipped...even sharp knives! We were an older family group, ranging from 51-86, but we enjoyed many things such as cooking outdoors, playing pool and lawn darts, using the hot tub, watching the baseball playoffs, playing games, and exploring nearby towns. The house is quite secluded and far from the road, away from disruption. We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet. Everything in the house is spacious and comfortable. Their home was even better than the photos, and they had thought of every detail to make our stay so warm and comfortable. The home was impeccably clean, and the amenities were top-notch. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the comfortable beds. It was like our own little comfy cabin in the mountains. The pavilion at the river and views are simply wonderful. We were lucky to have had a bald eagle visit us while enjoying dinner down at the pavilion on the deck overlooking the river. We felt truly appreciated all the little touches Judy and David have added to make your stay most enjoyable. Fully stocked linens and kitchen items, great washer/dryer! Comfortable four huge bedrooms and downstairs with pool table and tv room. Side patio built in that my husband used as a home office! Rabbits, deer, lots of birds of all kinds, a nice sanctuary from city life!
