"This hotel and the city is amazing. This would be a perfect destination for a vacation. The staff is so friendly and helpful you do not see this kind of service in the states.Everything was perfect, the only issue is really bad WiFi connection. "

"The bathroom was exfremely small. It was difficult to get to the shower. This was located at the end of a very narrow bathroom. Just next to the shower, there a sink on the right side. I had 30/40cm to get into the shower, not nice. Also, the wc very close to the radiator/heating. My left knee was touching it. Considering it was hot, i could not sit comfortably at the wc. Last, the receptionist did not let me pay the local tax by debit card/bancomat. I had to pay in cash and the chat with the receptionist was not pleasant."

"Turning left at the directional sign for Paradiso was an accurate description of the destination of Marcia’s beautiful property. Seven km up a winding road past Assisi which locals call “the city” sit two villas from the 17th century, a small swimming pool, horses in the summer and 20 hectare of Umbrian heaven. Marcia, the owner was warm, welcoming and very responsive, offering us fresh eggs, herbs and greens from her garden. Marcia even brokered some wild boar from a neighboring cacciatore, when a local market came up empty handed. Needless to say, we cooked up a Thanksgiving ragu di cinghiale for the record books. Though we were there in autumn and even caught some snowfall, the beautiful view and tranquil location would make this an ideal summer home. The simple rustic aesthetic of Umbria is carried through to the inside of the villa, it was truly a joy and we can’t wait to come back."

"The reservation was made late in the evening, but we were able to check in easily. The breakfast is very good, with many choices. The staff was very helpful for all our needs. Free parking is a big plus. "

"Spent a beautiful week with our family, including 6 grandchildren celebrating our Golden wedding anniversary. Had their recommended chef cook for us 4 evenings which was a real bonus. Amazing food. Upstairs rooms only suitable for children rather than adults. Trampoline a little worry, as no safety net. Highly recommend everything."

"While it is obvious that the property is not new it is wonderfully well kept and it does look new. Our rooms had been updated very recently and were spacious and spotless. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a great experience. "

"Had a fabulous time. Tommaso was great, and the place was great - complimentary wine alongside cakes baked by Tommaso's mother made it all the greater. Loads to visit in the area too - quite stunning scenery around there that i hadn't appreciated was the case. So, yes, all in all, great. In fact i wish I were still there...."

"The Raffaello is well located in the center of Urbino. It is a serious climb to reach it, but that is true of everything in Urbino. Our reception was rushed and callous. Keys were given, things mumbled, and we were sent our way. The lobby area was unkept, with pictures leaning against the wall and boxes stacked. The rooms were simple and clean but not in good repair. My air/heat system was without a remote and therefore could not be used. When I went to report this, there was no one at the front desk. In fact there was seldom anyone at the front desk. I found a phone number and called it. A man came and gave me an electric heater in case it got cold. It did. My bathroom sink had a slow leak which resulted in a wet floor. During the night a loud sound, like a fire alarm, would sound every few hours. No one at the front desk. No sleep. The most serious problem with the Raffaello was that no one cared. No one cared about the place or about us. After one night we were finished. I found a man at the front desk and said we were leaving. I asked to be refunded for the two nights we did not stay. He said, "No refunds! Have a good life!" Part of my life is to write this review. I would not recommend this place to anyone."
