"Lovely place, just off a main road so a handy break in my trip from Poprad Tatry Airport to Hlinne. Staff were friendly and helpful - and they spoke English, which was a definite advantage for me. They also have English menus. My previous stay, somewhere with no English menus or speakers, wasn't pleasant, but this stay was. Before anyone comments. I was in their country so they didn't have to speak English or have English menus - but it helps. "

Top Šarišská Poruba Hotel Reviews

Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem

Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem

8/10 Good
"This is a pretty boutique hotel, and we had a very nice room and bathroom. We didn't have any hand soap or body wash for the shower--I am sure they just forgot-- but the room had nice amenities, such as a minibar, easy to use plugs, big towels, plenty of light, all in all it was clean and comfortable. There is an elevator inside, but this is simply not an accessible building--even with the elevator, there are places with steps, and up to the front entrance is a good set of stone stairs! There is off street parking at the hotel, but it is at a pretty serious incline, and it is NOT easy to get out of. Mostly one has to back out, down the hill. Helpful staff, a nice breakfast, decent location near a lot of places to eat. We had a very pleasant stay."

When is the best time to go to Šarišská Poruba?
The best time to visit Šarišská Poruba is typically during the summer months, from June to August, or in the winter for snow sports, from December to February.

For those looking for pleasant weather for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the natural surroundings, summer is ideal. The temperatures are mild, and the days are long, making it great for discovering the nearby Spiš Castle or enjoying the Slovak Paradise National Park. This period is particularly good for families who want to experience the region's natural beauty without the chill of colder months.

Winter offers a completely different experience, especially for travellers interested in snow sports. While Šarišská Poruba itself is a small village, it's well-situated for accessing ski resorts in the High Tatras, such as those near Poprad. For couples or solo travellers who enjoy skiing or snowboarding, the winter months provide excellent conditions, often with picturesque snowy landscapes.
