This is an older but very nice classic Swiss mountain hotel with great mountain views. In October pretty much everything was closed, no restaurants and you’re up on a winding road so it’s not so easy to drive to Interlaken even though it’s only 4 miles. The food offerings at the hotel were meager for dinner although the breakfast was very good. Room was fine with a balcony .

Absolutely fabulous hotel and perfect location to enjoy the wonderful scenery - mountain hikes and swimming and activities on the lake. Duty manager so welcoming, helpful and friendly, advising us on walks on our arrival. Friendly restaurant staff and a great buffet breakfast to start the day with a much appreciated vegan selection.
Lovely bakery on-site and covered walkway to the cable car opposite the hotel.
Lovely spa area to relax after hiking, or to watch the rain from.
Comfortable bed, fresh spring water, large balconies. No apparent air con, but nice just to have the window tilted open.

"We had a great stay at this hotel. Stunning views onto Lake Walen. This is a self check-in facility but it's rather easy. Make sure you're in touch with the management online.
